Since Hovercraft Pirates united in March 2007 they have made it their purpose to make a dent not only in the Irish music scene but across the world. With a mixture of Folk, Punk and Ska the blend fills in the blanks where no one else has gone before. Hovercraft Pirates recorded their first EP ''Always Calm'' in June 2007 and their debut album ''Mixtape'' in September 2007.
'Hovercraft Pirates' are a three piece rock band from the Northern Coast. Having played at the Hell Festival in Norway with Snoop Dogg, they landed a slot in between famous metallers Dimmu Borgir and punks Turbonegro on the Friday night of the Festival playing to 8,000 people.
Their EP is available on itunes and online to buy physically at cd baby.com and itunes attracting attention on a worldwide scale. They published an interview in the last issue of Skratch magazine in California, their music opens the first scenes to the new snowmobile film 'vertical ascent' by LA based 509 films and they keep growing plays on myspace and the radio (including bbc radio 1)
Now, with their debut album being released on the 22nd February and a March tour to back it up, Hovercraft Pirates are jumping back in the spotlight to do what they do best: Work hard and Play harder, Grabbing Everyones Attention along the way! The band lives for their live show and will play anywhere possible at any time.
