Growing up in North London, she began her journey learning the piano at the age of seven. With a natural singing talent, she became addicted to the high of public performance at the lowly school concert and church service. However, forced to go cold turkey when unable to take her piano away to university, she took up the guitar and began to strum a few chords...
It was whilst studying a science degree in Exeter she realised she was on the wrong path, and began to invest more of her time and the little money she had left into developing a latent musical talent...
As a Hollywood script-writer might put it, she moved back to London and took up a job as a waitress. She began studying jazz and pop in her spare time, and took those first agonising steps towards the challenge of writing a good, honest song.
At the start of 2004 she performed her first open mics, quickly gaining offers to showcase her material at local venues in Hertfordshire, where she now nestles...
Over the next two years she continued to write new songs, develop her style and put down the occasional recording.
