I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

This site serves both as an intro to me as well as a clearinghouse for all things related to Jerry Nolan. Perhaps I should have two sites but that will just have to wait.

Here's the non-ironic skinny: I'm a television producer with a music background. Confused? I was a professional musician in the 1980's recording and performing under the name Lewis King with the Rockats, Beat Rodeo, Elliott Murphy & House of Usher (George Usher), with members of the Modern Lovers, Violent Femmes, Holly and the Italians and B-52s as well as producers Richard Gottherer, Mike Thorne & Scott Litt. In 1992, I returned to my given name and transitioned to the Television & Video industry, joining Seattle's PBS affiliate KCTS, where I helped create numerous award winning programs and documentaries. The one I really wanted to make, DIY didn't happen, but I got a little bit of press out of it, and met Jeff Feurezeig, who has a wonderful doc out called THE DEVIL AND DANIEL JOHNSTON, which you NEED to see. Currently, I am a producer at the Seattle Channel (www.seattlechannel.org) helping create local music, arts and public affairs programming. I co-produce a show called KEXP Live At The Triple Door. I sit on the Board of Governors for the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Recording Academy (The Grammies). I am also conducting interviews and doing research for what I hope will be a book on former New York Doll & Heartbreaker's drummer Jerry Nolan.

Did you know him? Drop me a line.
