About Me

"Tom Verlaine & Jimmy Rip: Music For Film" began as a live program with a debut at Arts At St. Ann's in Brooklyn, NY on October 15, 1999. It has now been performed more than a dozen times in North America and 4 in Europe. Tom & Jimmy have written scores specifically for 7 short avant garde films from the 20's and perform these live in accompaniment to the films. Now, Kino On Video ( www.kino.com/video/item.php?film_id=876 ) is releasing a dvd version of this program to be released on September 25, 2007. This site will provide information on this dvd release, as well as any related play dates. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a personal website for Tom Verlaine. Please read the blog entitled "I am not Tom Verlaine, but..." for more details.
