About Me

One of the damn snazziest bands outta Brownstown (Cavstown now?) -- that's Cleveland to you goons. Hell, one of the best American RnR bands of the 1980s, er EVER. Started 'round 1984, practicing a sardonic, great googly-moogly, sometimes Weimar-y, gutter/glitter-punk that many in their hometown scratched their heads upon, then bought into hook, line, and stinkers. Chuck Eddy once described them as "Roxy from the Tombs," and who am I to dissent? They slung out three fine LPs, an also-fine EP, and some 7"s. Played loads o' mostly regional gigs, a few to some slack-jawed Big Apples, one trip out to the left coast with most of their lovely garb packed into Glad bags, then called it a day around 1990. Some went on to form Cobra Verde; some joined Guided By Voices; some still wear funny hats. For more info, check: http://www.clepunk.com/bands/dos/index.htm
