Rock Singer, songwriter & guitarist Johnny Black came up the NYC ranks playing CBGBs, Limelite, Cat Club & Don Hills etc. Pirate of Love was featured on Little Stevens Underground Garage on the Goldie's Garage segment on Friday May 16th-on Sirius Channel 25. The song was produced by Daniel Rey who produced The Ramones. He also produced Beat on The Brat and Born to Lose which features Walter Lure from Johnny Thunder's & The Heatbreakers on guitar & background vocals. Walter Lure also performed onstage with us. Our last show at Snitch was Sat May 3rd at 11:30pm with Black Angels & Charmschool and La Dolce Vita featuring Michael Imperioli from The Sopranos. It was the last night of Snitch & we were proud to be the LAST band to grace the stage. My 7 month stint at Snitch was a great success. Johnny salutes his former bandmate the late Jeff Salen. Johnny Black had his first packed show at Snitch Sat Dec 15, 2007 with Walter Lure from Johnny Thunders Heartbreakers and La Dolce Vita w/MICHAEL IMPERIOLI who did an amazing set of original music to an ecstatic audience and was immediately back at SNITCH on FRI JAN 18 at 10:30pm for a surprise last-minute set with members of The SPIDERZ(Biohazard,Ministry)Thanks Dirty,Lee & NZA! JOHNNY BLACK is unsigned and his CD featuring the song BORN TO LOSE with Walter Lure playing lead guitar & sharing vocals. The JOHNNY BLACK NYC CD is a brutal document of life in NYC. Produced by Daniel Rey of Ramones fame it includes "I WANT WHAT I HAVEN'T GOT" originally written for The Ramones at producer Ed Staciums request. ..s for the CD is Joe Mcginty(Ramones,Furs). Jill Wisoff who toured with Johnny Thunders played bass. Her film credits include Welcome to the Dollhouse and Creating Karma featuring Karen Lynn Gorney(John Travolta's costar in Saturday Night Fever). Johnny Black appears in Creating Karma as SPIKE.
