...rite then, here goes, its only taken me a few months to finally gettin around to writing this down...My name is Noel, I'm originally from Birmingham born & raised. Well not actually born there. I was actually born in lovely (well not anymore, from what I've heard...) High Wycombe. I went to school in Solihull (a small suburb) and now after graduating from university I'm living but not settled in Manchester. I'm a Product designer, so basically I design products which people often use in their home...Argos is my bible!!! I'm 27 yrs old and my 2 big passions are playing hockey & music, especially techno. When my good friends (Gary, Wraggy & Dan) & I were all around 18 yrs of age we used to regularly frequent a small club in Hockley called Wobble. Slowly though this became too pretentious & full of salons, the music became insipid & bland. We had heard of these 2 great techno nites in brum called House of God & ATOMIC JAM but we had never been. Luckily though Wobble did a spring mash up with Wobble vs HOG which really turned my head towards techno. So we ventured out & tried it and I think we were all amazed at the friendlyness of these nites, oh yeah and the incredibly hard techno... Living in Birmingham really spoilt me music wise. The Birmingham techno scene has been so influential around the country, with the likes of surgeon, regis, female, portion reform & the downwards crew all helping keep techno alive. Atomic Jam & the Que club (RIP) especially has pretty much sculptured my life into what it is now...a constant search to find a club/night which lives up to those heady days of the mid to late 90s...now though I have come to think that this will never happen...a few places have come close, I love techno is a superb event, Sankeys Soap is legendary, Bugged Out when it was @ Nation was always a good night & most recently the warehouse project @ Boddingtons brewery in Manchester has been great fun, but it seems that all good nites are destined to close at some time...so the search goes on...well until i bump into someone who I remember from the Que club and reminiscing about the old place. I'd like to meet:

...Anybody really. I suppose this section is meant for your heroes but I personally think its bad if you meet your heroes, cos from first hand experience you inevitably make yourself sound or look like a twat in front of them or you are disappointed with the person you are meeting. Im a bit of a star gazer and my local sainsburys is right next door to Granada studios and most of the Coronation street cast go in there sometimes. If I see them in the aisles then I end up following them around the store like some deranged stalker until Emily finally drags me away from them and stops me looking like a plonker. So I dont really like meeting famous people...I find I get on with most people so Im happy to meet just about anyone...apart from my maker...
