Mucky Beats is fast becoming a recognised presence in the UK Techno scene. A proud member FAT Collective and with residencies at The Techno Experiment (Manchester) , Nuclear Audio (Liverpool) and Ardpressed (Bangor). Mucky has played alongside some of the worlds best Techno DJs, Billy Nasty , Thomas Krome, Ben Long , Pounding Grooves, Misjah, Trevor Rockcliffe, Mike Humphries, Mark E.G, All The Liberators, D.A.V.E The Drummer, Jerome Hill, Ribbz & Alex Calver to name a few. With sets all over the UK under his belt some of the highlights were playing a headline set back to back with Rowland the Bastard at The Clinic, headling Locked (Manchester), warm up set for Misjah, Last set at the first Techno Experiment b2b with original Orbit resident John Berry
Mr. Beats is well known for his exciting style of mixing dropping everything from dark industrial sounds, jacking rough stuff and pumping FAT kicks. He is also just as at home dropping more slower chilled and funky sets. Being resident for 3 events he has to be a versatile and different at all times.
Mucky Beats Co-Owns Kick the Drum Records with Ste Zoid. The Label has seen much success topping techno sales charts with 5 out of its 7 releases to date. Mucky Beats first tune co written with Alex Calver on Kick The Drum 5 saw a huge response and sold out.
