Foreign Film/Skydiving/Horses/Motorcycles/Boxing/Soccer/Antiques/Art s/Music/Photography.....................Howard Thurman ~ Spritual advisor to Martin Luther King, Jr.: During times of war, hatred becomes quite respectable, even though it has to masquerade under the guise of patriotism............Dorothy Parker: Eternal nothingness is fine if you happen to be dressed for it.............Albert Einstein: A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on...........Eleanor Roosevelt: Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions.............Socrates: Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up...............Pablo Picasso: Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm..............Dorothory Parker:The first thing I do in the morning is brush my teeth and sharpen my tongue..........Confucius: But seduction isnt making someone do what they dont want to do. Seduction is enticing someone into doing what they secretly want to do already....................Groucho Marx: We must never forget that art is not a form of propaganda; it is a form of truth..............Salvador Dali: Go through your phone book, call people and ask them to drive you to the airport. The ones who will drive you are your true friends. The rest aren't bad people; they're just acquaintances..............Dwight D. Eisenhower: It's also helpful to realize that this very body that we have, that's sitting right here right now... with its aches and it pleasures... is exactly what we need to be fully human, fully awake, fully alive................C. A. R. Hoare: There are two ways of constructing a software design; one way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies. The first method is far more difficult............Simonides: Dancing is silent poetry..........Frank Lloyd Wright: I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters................Eric Hoffer: Rudeness is the weak man's imitation of strength.............Francis Jeffrey: Opinions founded on prejudice are always sustained with the greatest of violence............ Georg Christoph Lichtenberg:Don't judge a man by his opinions, but what his opinions have made of him............ Jimmy Carter: War may sometimes be a necessary e.il. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other's children..............Gandhi: What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or the holy name of liberty or democracy? ............Leonardo DaVinci: Principles for the Development of a Complete Mind: Study the science of art. Study the art of science. Develop your senses - especially learn how to see. Realise that everything connects to everything else............Marquis De Sade: In order to know virtue, we must first acquaint ourselves with vice..........Hellen Keller: I sometimes wonder if the hand is not more sensitive to the beauties of sculpture than the eye. I should think the wonderful rhythmical flow of lines and curves could be more subtly felt than seen. Be this as it may, I know that I can feel the heart-throbs of the ancient Greeks in their marble gods and goddesses..............Buddha: An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind..............Albert Camus: Live to the point of tears.............Millard Fuller: It's not your blue blood, your pedigree or your college degree. It's what you do with your life that counts.............Anon: Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get, it's what you are expected to give -- which is everything.............Ingrid Bergman: A kiss is a lovely trick designed by nature to stop speech when words become superfluous............Emil Ludwig: The decision to kiss for the first time is the most crucial in any love story. It changes the relationship of two people much more strongly than even the final surrender; because this kiss already has within it that surrender........... Bertrand Russell: Three passions have governed my life: The longings for love, the search for knowledge, And unbearable pity for the suffering of [humankind]. Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness. In the union of love I have seen In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined. With equal passion I have sought knowledge. I have wished to understand the hearts of [people]. I have wished to know why the stars shine. Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens, But always pity brought me back to earth; Cries of pain reverberated in my heart Of children in famine, of victims tortured And of old people left helpless. I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot, And I too suffer. This has been my life; I found it worth living.............. Helen Keller: Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all -- the apathy of human beings.............Martin Luther King Jr.: We must rapidly begin the shift from a "thing-oriented" society to a "person-oriented" society. When machines and computers, profit motives and property rights are considered more important than people, the giant triplets of racism, materialism, and militarism are incapable of being conquered............Eugene V. Debs: Now my friends, I am opposed to the system of society in which we live today, not because I lack the natural equipment to do for myself but because I am not satisfied to make myself comfortable knowing that there are thousands of my fellow men who suffer for the barest necessities of life. We were taught under the old ethic that man's business on this earth was to look out for himself. That was the ethic of the jungle; the ethic of the wild beast. Take care of yourself, no matter what may become of your fellow man. Thousands of years ago the question was asked; ''Am I my brother's keeper?'' That question has never yet been answered in a way that is satisfactory to civilized society. Yes, I am my brother's keeper. I am under a moral obligation to him that is inspired, not by any maudlin sentimentality but by the higher duty I owe myself. What would you think me if I were capable of seating myself at a table and gorging myself with food and saw about me the children of my fellow beings starving to death............. H. L. Mecenken: The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naïve and usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched. He is not a bad citizen turning to crime; he is a good citizen driven to despair.............Elie Wiesel: I have learned two lessons in my life: first, there are no sufficient literary, psychological, or historical answers to human tragedy, only moral ones. Second, just as despair can come to one another only from other human beings, hope, too, can be given to one only by other human beings............. Favorite line from a movie recently- Capote - "Berghoff Goodman, Sears Roebuck".
I have met the people I have wanted to meet, mostly by mistake. Otherwise I wish to meet people interested in, or working in film, video, photography, dance and sound arts. Also to connect with collegues and friends worldwide that through travel and time we have lost connection with each other. With myspace there is one main area for all of us to reach each other. And also people that are honest, kind, gentle, honest, passionate, attentive, perspicacious, sincere, thoughtful, have common sense, street smarts, caring, natural intelligence, integrity, open minded, real, no lies, and have compassion for others. And who have depth, passion, and character. I choose not to tolerate disengenuous people in my life. And meeting new people and making new friends is always a plus.

The most over used word in this day and age. The Hero is the person that gets up day to day and struggles every day to take care of the loved ones around them. The people that extend their hands unselfishly to help the less fortunate, the needy, and the sick. The people that work day in and day out to rescue children and women from abuse and poverty. The people that have worked worldwide to assist people in need. But no matter where we live worldwide, is how in a little over 90 days in Rwanda that 1 million people had been wiped from the face of this Planet. And we world-wide stood by as this happened?
