Preaching to the Perverted

About Me

After all the trials and tribulations this site has endured, we are not gong to go away quietly in the dark. We will launch a site that is worthy of the blood, sweat, tears, frustration and stress induced health problems.
Many people like to throw stones from glass houses about how long it has taken us to launch. When in fact we have launched two versions of the site. It is our belief that it is better to launch the best product out there, or not do it at all. So we have gone through programmers, designers etc. We set up time goals, but LIFE happens. We are DIY baby! a grass roots company, things change constantly-- I would love nothing more than somebody to write a big check and a big media firm take over the package and tie it up with a bow around it, however we aren't as lucky as some out there. Every Dime that goes into this site, is out of somebody's paycheck.People have been waiting for this site for a VERY long time, especially for the staff (ZebeK and I have been here since the start of it all).
This is not just a site though, this is our dreams, our artwork, our friendships, our passion for the last three years, respectively we aren't going to throw it away. We will build before your eyes a bare boned site that transforms into three years of dreaming. But we'll do it live so you can watch us grow. We appreciate all that have been patient for so long, and we look forward to you help us grow our site to Maximum potential.
From today forward we should have a sign up button on our splash page in a couple of days (PerverseFixation.com) You Will need to access that to put your name on the list for beta! Thanks!.
When we go public beta
, we will be letting people in slowly but sign up for a chance to check out the site for free!! When at the website enter your email and This will send you a confirmation that you are on the list to get a beta code, it will not send you a beta code! *At this point, we have a lot of people signed up so we may not get to you right away, and hopefully we can get to you during our beta period, Getting the email that you are on the list does not mean you have a guaranteed spot it just depends on how long we are in beta and where you are in that list.
Perverse Fixation Gives Back "Most of the nearly two– billion children in the developing world are inadequately educated, or receive no education at all. One in three does not complete the fifth grade.
The individual and societal consequences of this chronic global crisis are profound. Children are consigned to poverty and isolation—just like their parents—never knowing what the light of learning could mean in their lives. At the same time, their governments struggle to compete in a rapidly evolving, global information economy, hobbled by a vast and increasingly urban underclass that cannot support itself, much less contribute to the commonwealth, because it lacks the tools to do so.
It is time to rethink this equation.
Given the resources that poor countries can reasonably allocate to education—sometimes less than $20 per year per pupil, compared to the approximately $7500 per pupil spent annually in the U.S.—even a doubled or redoubled national commitment to traditional education, augmented by external and private funding, would not get the job done. Moreover, experience strongly suggests that an incremental increase of "more of the same"—building schools, hiring teachers, buying books and equipment—is a laudable but insufficient response to the problem of bringing true learning possibilities to the vast numbers of children in the developing world.
Standing still is a reliable recipe for going backward.
Any nation's most precious natural resource is its children. We believe the emerging world must leverage this resource by tapping into the children's innate capacities to learn, share, and create on their own."
(Quote From One Laptop Per Child Site www.laptop.org)
We will be working on a line of clothing, selling artwork, and portion of site proceeds going to our non profit Project Ahimsa
, We wish to escape the red tape, or bureaucracy and all the middle men that take their shares before the money goes where it is needed. We intend on using every bit we get to go to the hands of the children who need the proceeds. We intend on initially focusing on a school for impoverished females in Badami, India -- India thus far has rejected the One Laptop Per Child program, however, we will be providing whatever they may need be it books to uniforms. We intend on broadening the scope to places that do work with the One Laptop Per Child program after we are satisfied with the work we have done in India.
We do not consider model applications over myspace We do not talk about anything of importance through myspace. We have an email [email protected] PLEASE JUST EMAIL US. WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO MYSPACE REQUESTS!
WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING APPLICATIONS OR SETS FROM ESTABLISHED MODELS. SO IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MODEL, YOU WILL NEED TO GO AHEAD AND WAIT UNTIL WE ARE LIVE BETA. AND WE HAVE AN APPLICATION UP. MODELS WHO APPLY SHOULD EXPECT TO BE INTERVIEWED (IN PERSON, ON THE PHONE ETC) ONCE WE ARE BOOKING AGAIN. WE WILL BE BOOKING WITH OUR STAFF PHOTOGRAPHERS AT THAT POINT.

My Interests

So really what is the story with Perverse Fixation?

Perverse Fixation remained a site without a name for a long time. It was more of an ideal. I very much keep up on the goings-on with other sites and was well aware that some sites have made it a policy to not take a model's picture down no matter how strongly she wishes it. I have a very close friend who modeled for one of those sites and who later in her life decided that it was the wrong decision for her. The site sold her images to hardcore sites without her knowledge or consent. She had moved on to philanthropy projects and the actions of the site owners in regard to the handling of her pictures caused her a lot of personal and professional distress.

That incident inspired me and it served to solidify my idea of a perfect site. Instead of sitting and complaining about things-- I wanted to create something that focused on the emotion that can be conveyed through high-quality artistic photography that captures human emotion, sexuality, sometimes sadness-I wanted honesty portrayed on film. I want to have a site that is both pro model and sex positive. We offer all of our models buyback clauses. We offer retroactive pay raises. We offer referrals. And we offer a guarantee in writing that images will never be sold off to any company that is not directly associated with PerverseFixation.com. What we are really striving to do is to make sure that our models are in control of their own careers. Of course, there is the reality that once you're on the Internet naked you are, essentially, forever there. However, we make every effort to be cruelty and misogyny free. Our troupe of models are some of the most outstanding, intelligent and beautiful people that I've ever encountered. We truly are a family and they're as important to me on the personal level as they are to the company on the business level.

I've noticed that many other sites portray women who belong to "alternative" subcultures as deviants or delinquents of some sort. It's obviously, and somewhat hypocritically, based on their expressing their sexuality through photography and their appearance. The more I've gotten into this and met the models and photographers involved, the more that I've found that sort stereotyping both inaccurate and unfair. We have models who are going to medical school and some who are getting PhD.'s. In fact, I really haven't dealt with any sort of delinquent among any of the models we've hired. I find them to be genuinely good people who are fun to be around and fun to talk to. I would love to help dispel the stigmas that are attached to "alt" models. If this site contributes to that in some way, all the better.

One of my major inspirations in all of this was a friend of mine who passed away long before her time. She had dedicated her life to promoting education and to solving poverty around the world. After her death, a scholarship was set up in her name at a school in Badami, India. The school is set up for impoverished women and we will be taking a portion of the site's profits and donating it to the school. We want to help them buy uniforms, books, and to help them realize her goal. Her and I had a mutual attraction to the philosophy of philanthropy through consumerism. At the end of the day, so long as I feel that her memory has been honored somehow through my actions, I will count myself as having been more successful. We are not slash and burn capitalists. We are trying to make a statement. That statement being that ethics count for something, even in the alt porn business. That philosophy and the idea of philanthropy through consumerism are both integral to the concept of this site

Maybe you can share with us some of the trials and tribulations that you have come into whilst trying to get this site off the ground?

We have been through being sued by suicide girls.com, plenty of site changes--we've gone through about four different versions of the site, all of which we thought to be sub par so we scrapped them, even if that meant waiting longer to launch the site that we want. We even were extorted for our URL by an ex-employee and a competing site owner. We also had a multi million dollar company pull funding at the last-minute due to loyalties to other sites. There's tons of infighting among these sort of sites. We've been plagued by hacking attempts and a lot of silly gossip.

Personally, I've gone through a few friend/family deaths, 3 major surgeries recently I was intubated after my lungs collapsed and was in a medicated coma for three days had a few severe illnesses, and a miscarriage. But, as we get closer to being live, I've noticed that all of the those things only helped us to become a very strongly-bonded team. This is not the effort of one person. Aside from myself we have Michael Roxas, Nadine Bell, Zebek, Andrew Seimer . We also would not be anything that we are without the talented Railh, Emily and Matt from TwentyOneFifteen photography, Damon from Damon one photography, as well as Nadine again with Venus Blue Imaging. There are many others who contribute such as Christopher Zero the artist or Danielle Thompson our newest staff Makeup and Hair artist, and a lot of other very talented people who contribute to all the different parts of the site. I feel that we are approaching a position where the reality of this site will blow the expectations of the water.

This has been over 2 years in the making now, where do you want to see PF in a further 2 years?

I have many goals, both personal and business wise, for the site. I would love to see a burlesque troupe come out of this. I would love to have made at least one trip to India to present the school a significant amount of funding so they can get the things essential to providing a proper education. I would love to see AcidKiss productions, which encompasses PF, expand and knock out of the park all the future projects that we have in store.

I would also very much like to see the alt communities come together. The infighting is counterproductive. I believe that there is plenty of room for fair and honorable competition and, in some regards, we must work together for the health of the industry as a whole. Together we can bring about the changes many of us would like to see in the alt porn industry.

I'm very much looking forward to the next two years!

I'd like to meet:

Haha we already met Rebekah (but we know her as ZeBek) and she has been there since the start! Check out her True Life Episode
