So really what is the story with Perverse Fixation?
Perverse Fixation remained a site without a name for a long time. It was more of an ideal. I very much keep up on the goings-on with other sites and was well aware that some sites have made it a policy to not take a model's picture down no matter how strongly she wishes it. I have a very close friend who modeled for one of those sites and who later in her life decided that it was the wrong decision for her. The site sold her images to hardcore sites without her knowledge or consent. She had moved on to philanthropy projects and the actions of the site owners in regard to the handling of her pictures caused her a lot of personal and professional distress.
That incident inspired me and it served to solidify my idea of a perfect site. Instead of sitting and complaining about things-- I wanted to create something that focused on the emotion that can be conveyed through high-quality artistic photography that captures human emotion, sexuality, sometimes sadness-I wanted honesty portrayed on film. I want to have a site that is both pro model and sex positive. We offer all of our models buyback clauses. We offer retroactive pay raises. We offer referrals. And we offer a guarantee in writing that images will never be sold off to any company that is not directly associated with PerverseFixation.com. What we are really striving to do is to make sure that our models are in control of their own careers. Of course, there is the reality that once you're on the Internet naked you are, essentially, forever there. However, we make every effort to be cruelty and misogyny free. Our troupe of models are some of the most outstanding, intelligent and beautiful people that I've ever encountered. We truly are a family and they're as important to me on the personal level as they are to the company on the business level.
I've noticed that many other sites portray women who belong to "alternative" subcultures as deviants or delinquents of some sort. It's obviously, and somewhat hypocritically, based on their expressing their sexuality through photography and their appearance. The more I've gotten into this and met the models and photographers involved, the more that I've found that sort stereotyping both inaccurate and unfair. We have models who are going to medical school and some who are getting PhD.'s. In fact, I really haven't dealt with any sort of delinquent among any of the models we've hired. I find them to be genuinely good people who are fun to be around and fun to talk to. I would love to help dispel the stigmas that are attached to "alt" models. If this site contributes to that in some way, all the better.
One of my major inspirations in all of this was a friend of mine who passed away long before her time. She had dedicated her life to promoting education and to solving poverty around the world. After her death, a scholarship was set up in her name at a school in Badami, India. The school is set up for impoverished women and we will be taking a portion of the site's profits and donating it to the school. We want to help them buy uniforms, books, and to help them realize her goal. Her and I had a mutual attraction to the philosophy of philanthropy through consumerism. At the end of the day, so long as I feel that her memory has been honored somehow through my actions, I will count myself as having been more successful. We are not slash and burn capitalists. We are trying to make a statement. That statement being that ethics count for something, even in the alt porn business. That philosophy and the idea of philanthropy through consumerism are both integral to the concept of this site
We have been through being sued by suicide girls.com, plenty of site changes--we've gone through about four different versions of the site, all of which we thought to be sub par so we scrapped them, even if that meant waiting longer to launch the site that we want. We even were extorted for our URL by an ex-employee and a competing site owner. We also had a multi million dollar company pull funding at the last-minute due to loyalties to other sites. There's tons of infighting among these sort of sites. We've been plagued by hacking attempts and a lot of silly gossip.
Personally, I've gone through a few friend/family deaths, 3 major surgeries recently I was intubated after my lungs collapsed and was in a medicated coma for three days had a few severe illnesses, and a miscarriage. But, as we get closer to being live, I've noticed that all of the those things only helped us to become a very strongly-bonded team. This is not the effort of one person. Aside from myself we have Michael Roxas, Nadine Bell, Zebek, Andrew Seimer . We also would not be anything that we are without the talented Railh, Emily and Matt from TwentyOneFifteen photography, Damon from Damon one photography, as well as Nadine again with Venus Blue Imaging. There are many others who contribute such as Christopher Zero the artist or Danielle Thompson our newest staff Makeup and Hair artist, and a lot of other very talented people who contribute to all the different parts of the site. I feel that we are approaching a position where the reality of this site will blow the expectations of the water.
I have many goals, both personal and business wise, for the site. I would love to see a burlesque troupe come out of this. I would love to have made at least one trip to India to present the school a significant amount of funding so they can get the things essential to providing a proper education. I would love to see AcidKiss productions, which encompasses PF, expand and knock out of the park all the future projects that we have in store.
I would also very much like to see the alt communities come together. The infighting is counterproductive. I believe that there is plenty of room for fair and honorable competition and, in some regards, we must work together for the health of the industry as a whole. Together we can bring about the changes many of us would like to see in the alt porn industry.
Haha we already met Rebekah (but we know her as ZeBek) and she has been there since the start! Check out her True Life Episode

PERVERSEFIXATION has by far and wide the best, and most patient staff. We LOVE RailH, Venus Blue Imaging, TwentyOneFifteen, Damon, Jessika's Bitch Show Radio, iSCREAMgarbage and all the gracious photographers who have contributed and graced us with their talent and we think you should check out their work (sorry its getting a little cluttered around here but we are so close to launch we want you to know who is behind all this beauty!)
