...calls it Rock N Roll.

About Me

I think one of the reasons I play loud music is because I grew up in a machine shop where it was your only option if you wanted to hear the radio. My favorites were generally either heavy metal or classic rock.
The first music I can remember liking was really old rhythm & blues & oldies like Bill Haley & Big Joe Turner, as well as Motown & Rock N Roll. Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry were big. The Beatles were very influential to me.
Playing an early 90s Korean-made Fender Squier with stock pickups, whom I call Mae, my amp of choice to go live is Peavey Windsor or my old Studio Pro 112 for smaller venues.
Myspace has so many incredible bands, and I would never have heard of them before this age of internet promotion. I'm influenced by Noise, Techno, and Rap as much as I am by Pantera and Slayer.
I work and live in Los Angeles, but grew up in the fields of California's Central Valley. I love travelling, but home is truly where the heart is.
I hope you like the music, and come back often. I'm writing songs now, and recording this summer. Vastly increasing my production know-how would capture the music in the best way I can, and so that's what I'm into now. I'm always up for collaboration, so contact me if your interested. Peace! Johnny
