About Me

i am a midwife. when i am not delivering babies, i take to the sea, and go kayaking. i also like to paddle on quiet lakes and slow moving rivers, and i may have been seduced by my surfski... i also enjoy hiking local trails in the santa cruz mountains, the eastern sierras, and arizona during the monsoon season when it is hot, and the sky is on fire. i like spicey food and strong coffee. i take belly dancing lessons, and love them. normally, i keep the poet under wraps, but insomnia has forced this public disclosure of my mammalian brain.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4Get Your Own! | View Slideshowobject width="425" height="350"

My Interests

sea kayaking & touring, surfski paddling, hiking, travel, and bellydancing. i also love discovering new writers and artists to read & enjoy...

I'd like to meet:

fellow adventurers, lovers of language and good storytellers, people who make me laugh, paddlers who will help me conquer my fear of the surf zone, other surfski paddlers, midwives, belly dancers, artists, dorks, and people who love rocks and dirt, and thorns with their roses, oh, and my testosterone muse...CURRENT MOON about the moon

Music:

changes all the time...

Movies:

The Piano, and Touching the Void because they are frightening, beautiful and "true," Rivers and Tides just because it is beautiful... i generally prefer indie films, and because i am a geek~ documetaries!

Television:

rented movies, and the local santa cruz channels from time to time, just to see what's happening locally
