About Me

See what's new at:

http://themaninthehat.com

and please tell me what you think and check back for more updates. Brutal honesty prefered.

Ever a searcher, naturally I was searching again here. I found out about MySpace by shooting the 2nd Anniversary fest at Dodger Stadium (nice meeting many of you) and while most waited for the headliner, Dashboard Confessionals, I found the energy of the crowd and mostly The All-American Rejects renewed my faith in Rock'n'Roll. Life is progressing and Life is Long and Life is Good.Since then, I've amassed a number of friends and do my best to keep up and in contact. Beyond that, my Path feels truer then ever lately. Who knew?

What is ECK?

Be well all you MySpace Farmers!

My Interests

Good stories. Whether over dinner or over a 6 month shoot. I want to hear good stories and to tell them visually.

This goes to the films I shoot and the music I listen to. ...and music? If it has a good bass line at the bottom, it has a good foundation to grow from, just as a great film grows out of the cornerstone of a good script. Tell me your story.

I'd like to meet:

Everybody wants to meet "cool people." Here's the news. Everyone has their lack of cool moments. If you haven't, get back to me after you have. Substance is MUCH more important than style. Fashion is useless. Be ABOUT SOMETHING and you have my attention. More to the point, be willing to expose your vulnerablities (not all at once/all at first) and flaws as a human on this planet and accept those in others and YEAH, I want to sit down with you.
In my biz, I've met a lot of "Names" I'd still like to talk more with Julius H. (Groucho) Marx, Danny O'Keefe, Walt Whitman, Pedro Almadovar, Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, JoAnne Woodward & Paul Newman, David Letterman, Nat "King" Cole, Clint Eastwood, Jerry Brown, Mike Scioscia, Todd Rundgren, Chris Squire, Conrad Hall, ASC, Ralph Nader, Dennis Kucennich, John Edwards, Russell Banks, Bubba Clinton, Barack Obama, Spike Lee, Ang Lee, Spike Jones, Sydney Lumet, Gong Li, NaRai Hypnotic, Jennifer Berdetta, Lou Gerhig, Bobby Kennedy, Sandy Koufax, Stan Musual, Cool Papa Bell, Satchel Page,

,,,and now, let's you and I have a nice chat

Music:

To my ear, the best "genre" is a genre that cannot be easily defined. If the music moves you, whether to dance or think or feel, then it is truly music. The word, "Eclectic" gets overused, but maybe some of my favs qualify.
