HOUSTON, WE HAVE NEW SONGS...
Dear hawks and hens:
We are proud to post 4 new tracks from the upcoming album.
Thank you for unfurling your featherbottoms and joining us in the nest to nurture these chirpers. Share with friends, hug with new vigor, and generally swoop the volume knobs.
All the love in my featherbottom,
Rachel Flotard
1) "Forgive Me" - Featuring Jon Rauhouse and his Kermit Swamp riders
2) "WARD"
3) "Beautiful Amnesia" - Featuring Jon Rauhouse Pedal Steel Savants
4) "Hand Me Down"
Dudes, babes, & peeps of our loins,
A few late spring quickies:
1) Visqueen's playing an unadvertised show at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle this Friday 5/11. (watch him kill me live for saying he has crabs!)
Count on some songs from the new record and welcome our fave abductee to the line up, Mr. Barrett Jones.
Though Barrett is usually stalked by historians for his work with Nirvana and Foo Fighters, he was in fact, head dirtbag behind our first record "King Me".
Watch him hustle and sing his nards off.
2) Sasquatch! Music Festival. We'll be roasting on Saturday May 26th with Sarah Silverman and the rest o' the indie nerds. We're on somewhere around 4.
There were no utensils at medieval times, therefore there ARE no utensils at medieval times.

3) Rachel hits Arizona next week on Jon Rauhouse tour! May 17th, 18th, 19th are pedal-steel/hawaiian guitar/torch-song holidays.
Neko Case, Kelly Hogan, Sally Timms and I are on his new record, "Steel Guitar Heart Attack". PLEASE visit Jon's Myspace page. He's 100 and doesn't know how to use a computer and needs love. http://www.myspace.com/jonrauhouse or http://www.bloodshotrecords.com/
Shows are listed on our sites. If you're within driving distance, Jon and his gang are nothing short of f*cking amazing.
4) VQ music has been bubbling up in new places.
You can hear Visqueen on the web series "PROM QUEEN" from Michael Eisner’s new independent production studio Vuguru. http://www.promqueen.tv/
as well as MTV's new film, "I Remember Chloe" which debuts on June 3rd. Chloe's characters also have myspace pages. Visit http://www.myspace.com/pittsburghchloe for a preview.
Love alot,
Rach
COMING THIS SUMMER....

MARCH 2007 - Hello dudes! Visqueen loves you, that's first. Thank you SO MUCH to all visiting peeps across the land saying hello and demanding to know what in baby heesus' name we're doing with our lives and recordings. This is Rachel speaking, and I assure you we are here writing and playing loud in the bunker, working on broken boats, taking care of parents, singing songs with our pal Neko Case (hello to Eric Bachman! Merle Haggard! Porter Wagoner! Marty Stuart! Billy Bob Thornton! Dwight Yokam! the freaks of industry! and fans of heart! that induced my 6 pack laugh abs to steel), preparing for SXSW sets with Jon Rauhouse (Bloodshot) and drunken Visqueen country hits done solo for future friends in Texas (Ben is rolling over on his kit right now). As we perservere through more projects, bass players, really hard Red Vines, and cramps, we will be back in the van and onto your town before you can say Warnick. Keep your ears primed, and always the best to you and yours from us dudes. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo Rachel
NOVEMBER 2006 - Sad News dudes. Due to last minute circumstances beyond our contol, Visqueen will not be joining Neko in the UK tomorrow. Wishing the Case family a great tour and we will revive our UK dates in 2007. Super sad and we will miss you.

JUNE 2006 - EUROPE WAS AWESOME AND SASQUATCH WAS HAIL. Back from almost a month abroad, Rachel and Neko ate candy, tried to not have Ted Nugent fans slash our tires and we saw a fox the size of a grizzly bear run past us on a deserted street in Sweden. Thank you to all who sang and clinked euro glasses with us and to those who braved the ice cube pelting otherwise known as THE SASQUATCH FESTIVAL George, WA. Holy Jesus. Who let the dogs out. Seriously. SO! Visqueen is back in the studio working on VQIII with hopes to stick some songs in some heads real soon. Thanks for all of your messages and support and know that it means THE WORLD TO US. See you soon with some new joints. Love Rach
MAY 2006 - Yo Bros and Hoes: Rachel Goes to Europe and Visqueen begins recording III.
Rachel, Ben and bassist Bill Coury (Once For Kicks) are in pre-production with Producer Randall Jamail (Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, The Pope) to record their third album, Visqueen's first on JUSTICE RECORDS out of Houston Texas.
Seattle sessions begin in June with special guests and lots of rock. Starting May 9th, Rachel joins Neko Case on a European tour where they will sing and eat simultaneously, eventally winding up at The Gorge in Washington at the annual Sasquatch Festival.
Thank you so much for staying tuned...there are many hilarious episodes on the horizon and we'll be beating the van like it owes us money. We miss each and every one of you studs. See you soon and lots of love, VISQUEEN

SEPTEMBER 2004
Visqueen released Sunset On Dateland, their sophomore record produced by Phil Ek (Built To Spill, The Shins, Modest Mouse), mixed by Grammy winner Adam Kasper (Queens Of The Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Cat Power, Nirvana). Ecstatic to be supporting their new efforts on tour with The Muffs, Visqueen word spreads and Sunset On Dateland climbs CMJ charts backed by thumbs up from indie zines to SPIN to Big Takeover.
DECEMBER 2004
26 years into a career of bringing rock wherever she goes, the Fastbacks and Visqueen bassist, Mrs. Kimberly Warnick retires from music and touring to embrace overdue home comforts. Understanding Kims swan song and ready for a face full of shows, Rachel and Ben were delivered a 7 foot angel in the shape of Muffs bassist Ronnie Barnett who guest stars in 2005.
HISTORY
In 2001, songwriter/guitarist Rachel Flotard, Drummer Ben Hooker and bassist Kim Warnick released their little white vinyl 7 and first full-length King Me.
Producer Barrett Jones, best known for his work with Nirvana and Foo Fighters, combined the strength of the bands palpable live show with studio time and slammed Rachs songs out of the park. King Me sounded killer and unpretentious, fans became FANS, radio played it, television aired it, magazines reviewed it, and the band fell in love.Shined upon by good and mysterious forces, theyve traveled to play with some of the funniest and finest people on the block--X, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Death Cab For Cutie, The Muffs, The Postal Service, The Shins, Guided By Voices, The New Pornographers, Cheap Trick, and The Donnas are but a shiny smidgeon of them.
