I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

It is not "about me," it is about Jesus.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Grace, God's Riches At Christ's Expense.
"For wisdom & truth will enter the very center of your being, filling your life with joy." (Proverbs 2:10).
God wants a relationship with us, He patiently waits for us to allow Him fully into our lives.
But satan is the god of this world right now,
he wants to lead you away from the true God,
by controlling your thoughts and actions to take you down to the second eternal death.
"The god of this age has blinded the mind of unbelievers,
so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ,
who is in the image of God" (2 Cor.4:4).
First of all, the mind is darkened.
"This I say therefore, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk,
in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding"(Eph. 4:17-18).
The unbeliever lives with his mind fixed on futile things, transitory things,
things without eternal value. He lacks spiritual discernment.
He is in the dark about spiritual matters.
He may understand some very intricate things of this world,
like Einstein's theory of relativity or other complicated and sophisticated scientific and technical information,
but he is in a fog about God.
If satan can keep man's mind shielded from the truth of the Gospel,
he effectively keeps man from knowing God and from fulfilling God's purpose for creating him.
Satan keeps man in spiritual darkness.
Second, God says the natural mind is defiled.
"To the pure,all things are pure;
but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
They profess to know God,
but with their deeds they deny Him, being detestable and disobedient, and worthless for any good deed" (Titus 1:15-16)
Here are people who say they know God,
but their manner of living exposes a certain phoniness to their words.
Paul says their words are defiled. Defiled, meaning polluted, or contaminated.
We can see the evidence of such mental pollution all around us in a multiplying morass of immorality and licentiousness.
It is actually possible for satan to pump his defilement right into the unguarded believer's home via the tv (tell a vision).
There is much concern these days about air and water pollution, as well there should be.
But one of our primary concerns as Christians ought to be mind pollution--
the effects of unbelievers' defiled minds on our lives,
the impact of their obscenities, blasphemies, impurities,
and unbiblical concepts on our children throughout the media.
Third the natural mind is depraved.
Paul spoke of "men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth,
who suppose that godliness is a means of gain"(1 Tim.6:5).
Depraved means basically corrupted, destroyed, ruined, spoiled, or debased.
Those perverted men of Paul's days
were teaching that the primary purpose of religion was to raise one's social status and increase one's net worth.
They were obviously deficient in truth and could not accomplish anything spiritually profitible,
that was acceptable to an infinitely holy God anyway.
Finally the natural mind is dead.
"For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,
because the mind set on flesh is hostile toward God;
for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so."(Rom 8:6-7)
This mind set on the flesh is the natural mind,
the mind with which we were born, with all it's sinful inclinations.
It is dead, spiritually dead, separated from the life of God.
"Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior." (Col 1:21)
We don't hear many experts on the mind telling us what God says.
Most of them are trying to convince us that man's mind is inherently good,
that there are no limits to it's capabilities, that adequate training is all it needs.
Evidence is even being presented to prove that the mind can accomplish supernatural things apart from outside supernatural intervention,
such as moving objects without force, obtaining information apart from the senses,
and projecting itself onto other time frames and places.
I cannot pass judgement on what man's capable of producing or not producing,
but I do know that satan would like to convince us that man's mind is all-sufficient and supreme itself,
that it can solve all of our problems by it's own sheer genius,
and that it has no need for God.
Man's mind is great! There is no question about that.
There has never been a computer yet that can match its capabilities.
But the mind is also darkened, defiled, depraved,and spiritually dead.
And we need to recognize this if we want our minds to be delivered from their natural,
sinful condition and fulfill God's purpose for their creation.
Jesus said we would know the truth, and the truth would set us free(John 8:32).
He was telling us that there are some things we need to know
in order to be released from our sin-sickness and satan blindness.
And the only way we will ever be free
to turn to God, is to get that information into our minds.
Since the mind is the control center of the life,
and since it is so dreadfully sick,
God through His Spirit puts particular emphasis on it as He applies His divine medication.
God the Holy Spirit works on the unbelievers' minds to convince them of three things:
sin, righteousness, and judgement. Our sin, God's righteousness, and God's judgement.
Finally repentance is linked to the Person of Jesus Christ.
The Bible presents Him as Son of God,
who left the realm of eternity to visit our planet,
who lived a sinless life,
who died a sacrificial death in our place,
and then arose triumphant over sin and the grave to secure our eternal salvation.
And He said He is the only way to the Father.(John 14:6)
It may require some changes in our way of thinking to acknowledge that.
But when we trust Him as our personal savior from the guilt and condemnation of sin, God promises to save us,(Acts 16:31),
that is to deliver us from the penalty which our sins justly deserve.
Then He releases our minds from satan's grasp, from darkness, defilement, depravity, fear,(False Experiences Appearing Real) and death.
In place of darkness, He gives light. In place of defilement, He brings cleansing.
In place of depravity, He allows eternal usefulness. In place of fear, He brings faith.
In place of death, He imparts eternal life.
And He opens our minds to whole new realms of spiritual truth. (excerpt from "Win the Battle For Your Mind," by Richard L. Strauss)

Psalm 23 by the cutest little girl!
The Lord's Prayer by a little over 2 & 1/2 yr old
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jesus; Immanuel-(God with us.) Inspiration, nature, especially by water,
health and motivation, reading and writing, art, history, politics, Seattle sports
especially the Seahawks and Mariners,
computers, movies, music, multimedia. And most of all, God's beautiful creation which is life,
which we should all protect and take care of!
Grow a garden and walk where God walks...
Oh the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.
But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.
They are like trees planted along a riverbank, bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. Psalm 1:1-3
It is the Life in all that has value,
and the quality of the life that determines the value.
In Jesus I find my role model for daily living,
no act,no word,or deed is too small to be transformed by the grace of God.
God is concerned with the quality of human life,
and that everything--
the way we live,eat,speak,think,
treat each other,
and care for the world around us--is part of His design and plan.
"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." 2 Corinthians 6:2
The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed." Romans 8:19
.. Create Your Own
Days of Elijah~great song!
I'd like to meet:
Jesus my Lord, my guru,
who was subject to Joseph and Mary, the Holy Family.
When I hope that my family can survive
or our nation can hold together as a family,
or that a family of nations can live in peace,
it is from a profound need of my soul
for a special grounded way of relating that offers deep,
unconditional, and lasting security.
The secular world has forgotten the sacred
and the eternal as we get caught up in daily struggles with children,
family and friends.
Friendship is not just a union of personalities,
it is the attraction and magnetism of souls.
Over the years, we encounter many people,
and yet only a few become truly intimate friends-soulmates.
Eternity makes itself felt in both lasting relationships
and those that last for only a time.
The intimacy created by attention to soul is different from interpersonal closeness.
For one thing, attending to the soul, two friends look together to a third entity, God.
"Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:
If one falls down, his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strand is not quickly broken." Eccl. 4:11,12
What I aspire to meet and the world to know, is the deepening of the Holy Spirit
How Great is our God!
We need revival at the church!
"The question is not are you challenged, but are you changed???????"
We are most definitely in the end times!
INDESCRIBABLEby Chris Tomlin
From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untameable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God
Books:
How can a man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. Psalm 119:9 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Psalm 119:11 Thou art my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Thy word. Psalm 119:114 Thy Word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 The unfolding of Thy words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. Psalm 119:130 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand forever. Isaiah 40:8 I have not departed from the command of His lips; I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. Job 23:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Hebrews 4:12-13
Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 2
The Bible; the Holy Scriptures,
which are able to make you wise for salvation
through faith in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is God-breathed and is useful
for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness,
so that man will be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
I wish I read it a long time ago.
My first introduction to Stormie was "The Prayer That Changes Everything" which is great also.
"The Good Life" by Charles Colson, I have yet to finish.
Last year I read "Ruth the Romance of Redemption~A Love Story,"
a very good book on the Bible story of Ruth by Diana Hagee
author of "The King's Daughter," which I don't have yet.
"Godcalling" I read daily.
Heroes:
God, and Jesus,
"by whom all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth."
Colossians 1:16 As far as mortals go:
St Therese of Lisieux, John C. Maxwell; who said,
"If you keep on doing what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten.
To get what you've never had, you have to do what you've never done."
Mother Teresa who said, "We can do no great things
only small things with great love." All parents esp. single ones, because it's the hardest job you'll ever have.
A little advice for parents: Kids need to be taught faith
and that breaking the commandments produces harmful consequences.
The church can help you, as a parent, with this challenging job of spiritual training.
It is difficult for children to doubt Christianity when they see it lived out in us.
If we are to save the children in this culture,
we must become their heroes of hope and point them toward Christ.
"We can be heroes, just for one day," Bowie.
Light is sweet, how pleasant to see a new day dawning. When people live to be very old, let them rejoice in every day of life. But let them remember there will be many dark days. Everything still to come is meaningless.
Young people, it's wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do. So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you is meaningless. Don't let the excitement of youth
cause you to forget your Creator.
Honor Him in your youth before you grow old and say,
"Life is not pleasant anymore." Remember Him before
the light of the sun, moon, and stars is dim to your old eyes,
and rain clouds continually darken your sky.
Remember Him before your legs, the guards of your house,
start to tremble; and before your shoulders, your strong men,
stop. Remember Him before your teeth,
your few remaining servants, stop grinding;
and your eyes, the women looking through the windows, see dimly.
Remember Him before the door to life's opportunity is closed
and the sound of work fades.
Now you rise at the first chirping of the birds,
but then all their sounds will grow faint.
Remember Him before you become fearful of falling
and worry about danger in the streets;
before your hair turns white like an almond tree in bloom,
and you drag along without energy like a dying grasshopper,
and the caperberry no longer inspires sexual desire.
Remember Him before you near the grave,
your everlasting home, when the mourners will weep at your funeral.
Yes remember your creator now while you are young,
before the silver cord of life snaps and the golden bowl is broken.
Don't wait until the water is smashed at the spring and the pulley is broken at the well.
For then the dust will return to the earth, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. Eccl 12:1-7
Let the sea and everything in it shout His praise!
Let the earth and all living things join in.
Let the rivers clap their hands in glee!
Let the mountains sing out their songs of joy before the Lord.
For the Lord is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with fairness. Psalm 98:7-9
