Whomever God chooses to bring across my path......
MOST of us hate religion and wants to see it nailed to the cross once and for all! Relgion is the REAL DIVISION of the SAINTs! How can we all be ONE IN HIM if we are DIVIDED at the DOOR of our OWN temple?
WHO CARES?
Who cares if you're a Baptist,
Or Seventh Day through and through?
Who cares if you're a Wesleyan?
Or a Catholic true?
Who cares if you're a Pentecostal?
Who cares if you're Lutheran?
Who cares if you're a Methodist,
Or a Presbyterian?
Do you really think God cares about
In which church that you spend your time?
He gave all life and a book of rules,
That's His bottom line.
God cares that you hear and practice
His written and spoken word.
Do you think that you're a Christian
When you don't practice what you've heard?
Remember, a church is NOT a temple
Where only the saintly show,
But rather, it's a hospital
Where only sinners go.

THE AFFLICTION
Affliction, not pain, upon the innocent,
is the far greater of the two perils.
For,a loving heart that seeks new paths of healing,
will eventually find a softness in ones pillow.
However, the afflictors never stray far from their
troublesome road, and finds their walk as course,
as the place where they lay their heads to rest.

OH SWEET SPARROW
Oh, sweet sparrow, how you once flew,
Peacefully through skies so blue,
Breathing air which you've never known,
Gracefully flying as you've never flown.
A free spirit carried you so high.
Oh, how you lived for that open sky.
Soaring to heights that you've never been,
Never wanting to land, nor to descend.
Maneuvering freely without a care,
So uninhibited, so full of flair.
Flamboyantly winging, just full of grace,
Well in command of your air and space.
Who caused you to swoop so low
Crashing you to the ground below.
Where predators lurk in the grass and sage
To pounce on you with human rage.
Escape, sweet sparrow, for you must soar
To those same heights where you were before.
Fly again Sparrow, like you once flew,
Peace and happiness will return to you.

THE JUDGE
---------
Sadly, we are critiqued,
By the people that we know.
By title or occupation,
And by the possessions that we show.
We judge by skin color,
Or by awards received.
By church denomination
And by what we believe.
We're judged by what we spend,
Or by what we give.
We're judged by age and gender,
And by where we live.
We're judged by our past,
And by our education,
By the language that we speak,
Or by our nation.
We evaluate cosmetically.
We judge both fat and small.
We judge by ones appearance.
Fact is, we judge it all!
Some judge because they're paid to.
Some judge intentionally.
Some judge to build self worth,
Some unwillingly.
BEWARE, for there is only One,
Who evaluates every stain and smudge.
Good luck amateur critics of humanity,
When you face that Judge!

READERS THOUGHTS
Thank you so much. You don't know how much your site and emails help me through the day. I was about to give up on my life and I again found jesus and started going to church again and following god. My life has changed so much so thank you so much for caring.
Your friend,
Lorrie
Every time I see your picture on my bulletin I know I am going to read something that is going to make me feel good inside or it's going to make me want to reach out & make someone else feel good about themselves! You have put a great big smile in my heart on days there was gloom. Thank you for inviting me to be a friend! I needed you & didn't even know it!! :)
Brenda
I once felt all alone in the world. When things went wrong as they often do, I'd retreat and hide within the prison of my own mind. It was safe, but lonely. Recently, I was again attacked by the fiery darts of the wicked one. I wanted to die. I was not suicidal, but would have rathered give up my life than live and breathe one more day. I checked MySpace and noticed you were online and sent a brief message that I needed prayer desperately. Within moments the Lord was being petiioned by prayers in my behalf from friends around the world. I felt strength being restored to my body, soul and spirit. I thank you, and all prayer warriors for the effort put forth, and sing praises unto the Lord for He is good.
Many Blessings,
Kathy

George, my friend, Even though we have only known each other a short period, I feel as though you have shared your feelings and your heart with me! I only wish I had your talent. After being diagnosed with myasthenia gravis a year ago, so many days I dread getting up because every thing seems like a mountain to me. I look forward to reading your inspirational writings and this is just what I need! You have impacted so many lives that you didn't even need me to write and tell you this. Just look at all the positive comments you have received. What you are doing is a ministry in itself. Keep it up. You touch many lives and have definitely touched my heart and my soul. Thank you!

It's as if you and Dani have climbed inside my heart and listened to how it feels and then you stepped outside and wrote those feelings on a piece of paper. Your poetry has made me cry, laugh and caused me to look over my shoulder to see where you are because how else could you know what's going on in my life, unless you were right in the same house with me. God surely blessed you with a incredible talent and thank you for sharing that gift with all of us.
Judy

You just Inspire. To put it most simply. You inspire people to feel happy when they are sad. To be thankful when they feel deprived. To be sympathetic to what others are going thru. To realize that there really is a such thing as silver linings. Mostly you inspire people to be better people. Personally I think that may be the most precious inspiration of all! And most importantly, you let people know that there is someone out there who cares enough to pray for someone they dont even know in times of trouble. Thanks
Jennie
