I'm a family-oriented people person. I enjoy working with the public at work, and group activities when at play. I have five grown children, and eleven grandchildren! I graduated college in May '08 with an AAS degree in Graphic Communications. A member of Phi Theta Kappa, I graduated with honors. One of my finals was to write and publish a book, which I did online without my drawings. I am working on finishing those drawings and publishing the book in solid form! After that, my publisher is very interested in me doing a book about my experiences ministering to those with HIV/AIDS. I've been asked to write a book by many people through the years, and will get to work on it asap. I'm not afraid to learn new things, and would like to put my talents to work in a fun and exciting field. In my previous life :), I trained in private Christian schools, becoming an ordained Pastor, then a Christian Graduate school, for Christian Counselors training. I've done Crisis Pregnancy Counseling and Harris County and TX Dept of Criminal Justice Chaplaincies. An HIV Prevention Counselor, I was trained by Harris County Health Dept and CDC. I used my Professional Restaurant License to maintain kitchens to code for HIV facilities. Some of my past jobs have been: a housekeeping service, sales in jewelry stores (after growing up in one), Dept. stores, Volunteer Coordinator in a Crisis Pregnancy Center, Office Manager/Housing Supervisor at His Touch HIV/AIDS Ministries, several church staffs all in Houston. In Stuttgart, I've worked as assistant to the PR Director at our local hospital where I also managed the Gift Gallery and Executive Assistant at our Chamber of Commerce. The last being my work/study job while in school. After working with my friend at Smith & Company, I'm learning by going to Agent's school and doing all I can to grow in the Ins. business quickly. I live with my mother and my son and we all enjoy gardening. My mom and I grow lots of flowers and bushes of all kinds and my son grows veggies and peppers and cans salsas also grilling what he grows. He loves cooking and we get the benefit! Unmet dreams: I've always wanted to learn belly-dancing, ballroom dancing, visit all our States, State Parks, ride in hot air balloons, learn to sail; perhaps even live on a boat, water ski, dive, row, pretty much anything to do with the water!
