It is easy to be thankful when life hands us our greatest desires. When everything seems to be going our way, it is natural to be filled with gratitude and joy. One practice that helps me get my day started in a thankful mode is to wake up, see that a new day has dawned, and say, "This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it." Dear Lord, I pray today that You would preserve all my friends spirits. Strengthen their feet as they walk out their faith. Displace their despair with hope,Touch their days with Your hope,and most of all Your faithful Love.There is nothing sweeter than being in the presence of you Lord. You alone give us peace. We can feel our burdens being lifted, our fears subsiding, our sins losing their charm, our love for You growing.Thank You, dear Lord, for making Yourself known to us. Thank You for the freedom we have to draw near to you. Thank You for Your Spirit, who dwells within us. Thank You for being present to us when we gather with Your people.
