The last great gift we can give them - to take away their pain and make it our own! ... RIP Nico, I

About Me

About me:
I am open, honest, outgoing, artistic, friendly, talkative...I work hard to play harder! I suppose that's me in a nutshell! I've been told that it amazes people that I can meet a total stranger, talk with them, listen, and within an hour, have a new friend!
Pittsburghers are definitely unique! No one understands that unless you are, you know, or you've met someone from the 'Burgh! It goes without saying, Yes, I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan! Who isn't a Steeler Fan!?! Being at Steeler Training Camp at St. Vincent [yes we were on the field during practice] for family day, was a phenomenal experience and a day to remember, July 2006!
I know who I am, what I want in life, and live for the day, here and now, tomorrow and endless tomorrows will come soon enough! I'm not a person who is content to let life just pass me by! I will not hesitate to tell you what's on my mind and at the same time be very honest with you! I enjoy my life, my family, my friends and living life infused with laughter and music!
I'm willing to take a chance and try new things, especially if it is going to challenge me, and at the same time challenge you! I look forward to the future adventure life has to offer and it would be great to have a friend to enjoy the adventure with.
Fun stuff: I enjoy participating or planning civic events, along with marketing and promotions. When I can, auto events, my passion: Corvettes and our '69 Roadster, from car shows, charity events, to racing (no, not nascar--not in this lifetime), etc. Also I enjoy weight training, working out, fitness activities, hiking, kayaking, and being outdoors! I enjoy spending a quiet night at home just as much as being out with family & friends!
Quite honestly I do not like writing about myself, I'd rather chat in email and have a more spontaneous exchange one-on-one. So, if you are curious, just ask!
Each day, I'm happy just living, loving, my family, my friends & my life!

My Interests

Music, Tattoos, Bodyart, Art, and Photography. In addition weight training~I find I'm more relaxed when there is 'me' time in each day! Oh, did I say music? Especially local bands! Almost anything outdoors, water, a beach anywhere, hiking and kayaking! Plus softball and shooting pool (league, single and tournament teams). I do admit that I miss not having a table any longer!

My family, friends, and fur-kids (Labrador Retriever, Nico, and German Shepherd Rescue, Kayla)! Plus two of the wackiest cats ever, Luca-Puppy (Egyptian Mau mix) and Mia (rescue), not sure how I have them because I adopted for my daughter! Plus two foster kittens (Cleo & PooBe), I raised them from 3 hrs old! When the time came and the new adoptive family were unable to take them, I just couldn't let them go back to shelter! The house goal is to convince the dogs that cats are not to be eaten! :)

I'd like to meet:

Let's see...
The time has come to update this and who'd thought I'd have had the pleasure to meet, party, and hang out with some of the most amazing kick ass rockers ever! Plus having the opportunity to keep in touch and hang with the best of the best! :) I so admire someone who lives their dream!
On a cold February night, RPMs was transformed into a private party. What on earth kept people from the show that night is beyond me!? The stage was on fire with Wicked Sins, Vains of Jenna and Hookers'n Blow. Hanging with WS's Dyer, Donnie & Kenny was like hanging with long time friends! Plus, HnB's own Dizzy Reed, Alex Grossi, Troy Patrick Farrell & Mike Duda was a night like no other, laughs, fun, and endless stories...thanks guys! Looking forward to catching another HnB show!
Spring is here and it's when you get the itch to just get out there and live and love life! Met a phenomenal group of guys from Philly/NJ, go figure, the Pgh vs. Philly rivalry just might be a draw this time. Primadonnaz performed at Smiling Moose, East Carson's own...If you have never been, nothing like a night out on the Southside of Pittsburgh! Mikey, Jerry, Scott and Rick ignited SM with their performance! The boys from Philly were the most gracious gentlemen, fabulous to hang with! Even while trying to convince me that Philly is better than our own 'Burgh! :) Here's to new friends, omelets, and side pipes roaring at dawn! See you in Philly soon! Catch Primadonnaz when they hit your city and do not forget Kissteria with Jerry, Scott & Rick!

Well, I must say that April ended the best way it could have. Two fabulous weekends with fantastic friends, two weekends in a row! You guessed it, Hookers'n Blow, blew back into to Pittsburgh and again RPMs had the best and many in Pittsburgh missed an exceptional show! Hookers'n Blow anchored by drummer extraordinaire Troy Patrick Farrell of White Lion was accompanied by the exceptional musicians CJ Szuter, Chad MacDonald, and Jizzy Pearl. They commanded your attention the moment they took the stage with their amazing performance.
Once again, RPMs was transformed into a private party! It was if they were playing for you and your friends and no one else! It was a night to remember! (Not to mention a day cooking for the boyz in the band!) It was great to see Troy again and hang out and meeting CJ and talking with him was true deja vu! I cannot forget Chad and that captivating yet devilish smile! If you have an opportunity to see these musicians with HnB or their respective bands, I can only say you'd be a fool to miss the opportunity and their performance! Troy best of luck of the Poison'd Tour and CJ safe travels and Rockin Wishes in Japan! You know my home is yours when you are in the 'Burgh! My thanks to my (yes, I've adopted them) HnB Boyz for a fabulous weekend, laughs, memories, and backseat drivers! Brites!! You can never have enough friends and I am very lucky to have those that I do!

I have had the pleasure to meet Wes and Puddle of Mudd, and David and the Foo Fighters. So, it is obvious if you've read my profile, and goes without saying, having the opportunity to meet Sully, Tony, Shannon & Robbie would be a truly breathtaking, render me speechless event in my life! :) LOL! Actually I have friends that I think just might pay to see me speechless! :) And I would have to say meeting David Draiman, Disturbed (doesn't count just being in the first row) would also be at the top of my list! Plus, I must admit I've been to more Aerosmith concerts than I can remember, so we'll round out the list with Steven Tyler and crew!
On a more personal level...
I tend to be rather [okay, very] particular! I would love to meet a sweet, sexy gentleman, [sorry, but again, just being honest] with a fit, athletic physique [yes, I do have a slight weakness for a sexy long hair rocker], who is artistic, outgoing, who can intrigue and challenge me! Keep in mind, these are not forged in stone! There are exceptions to every rule and it takes getting to know someone!
Someone who is genuine, enjoys life and living (maybe at times a bit on the edge) and who believes honesty, integrity, and trust are very important qualities in a friend and beyond! Honesty is a must with me! Please, if you cannot find it within yourself to be open and honest with me, please do not waste my time or your own! I am a trusting, caring, honest person who will give all of that plus more in return to one very special person!
I enjoy meeting new friends from near and far, talking, networking, and sharing similar interests.
All friends are welcome!

Music:

My musical tastes definitely vary, sort of a then and now that is never ending! I love anything with a beat, that I can feel in my soul! Anything alternative, hard rock, metal, some soft rock, even some southern rock. Plus can't forget my satellite radio, Octane, Hair Nation and on rare occasions, a few other stations! One never ever, you guessed it, definitely not country anywhere...not in my lifetime! I will admit there may be one or two that I like but I'm not a fan!

Godsmack, Godsmack, Godsmack! Oh yes, I've been Smacked, hard! My cd changer has at least two Godsmack cds in the car at all times! Let's see, if I can put them all here, in no particular order, Disturbed, Puddle of Mudd, Hinder, GNR, Metallica, Rammstein, Drowning Pool, Pearl Jam, Sevendust, Tool, Buckcherry, Korn, Ill Nino, AC/DC, Linkin Park, Nickelback, NIN, Dope, HIM, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soil, Foo Fighters, Rob Zombie, Finger Eleven, Evanesence, Bon Jovi, Mudvanye, Prince ... the list truly can go on and on! Journey, Kansas, Van Halen, Foreigner, KISS, REO Speedwagon, Poison, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Great White, Pantera, Springsteen, Motley Crue, Quiet Riot, Van Halen, and always...my all time favorite that I've seen more concerts than I can remember, Aerosmith! My first concert experiences were just as varied in the late 70s: KISS 1976 (the hair, makeup, pyro, you name it, had all the 'albums') and then the Charlie Daniels Band!

Bands and live music every time I get the chance! National and local bands (original, tribute, and cover bands) you name it...I'm there! Pittsburgh needs more venues for the talented musicians here and to draw in more talent!
I catch the local shows when I can and admire the musicians for living their dream not just sitting at home thinking about it! Lovin' sexy rockers, long hair (yes, eyeliner) and mmmm...play for me and I will melt!
And my dear friends, Pittsburgh's own, Downside, Mike, Dean, JP & Adam, I just luv my boys!

Rock me, roll me...
make my blood boil and let me feel it in my soul!

Movies:

I'm a movie nut and LOVE NetFlix! Laughed hysterically at Wild Hogs! I had to see it twice—Oh my, my date made it spectacular the second time around! Enjoy catching a new release with friends. Rarely pay any attention to the reviews, I'd have missed so many good movies if I read the reviews! Ultimate fav, The Usual Suspects, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Braveheart and Armageddon and I must include, Wild Orchid! I love suspense, drama, horror, and when it comes to comedy, I usually have to see it twice (and not laugh the second time)!

You Are 74% Evil
You are very evil. And you're too evil to care.
Those who love you probably also fear you. A lot. How Evil Are You?

Television:

Honestly I don't watch it too much but when I do, it would be Law and Order (including SVU, Criminal Intent) and CSI (Miami, Vegas & NY) along with Cold Case, Without a Trace, Crossing Jordan and NCIS. Plus, The Closer, Wanted, Prison Break and Heroes! Plus USAs Monk, he makes me laugh! Although I must admit that I'm usually watching late nite reruns.

Books:

This is going to be a bit different, my reading preferences vary a great deal, and my free time limits me but here goes: Anything Stephen King and John Maxwell! Plus if you haven't already, Jack Canfield, The Success Principles!
Thanks to a dear friend, I'm currently reading: God will make a way: What to do when you don't know what to do. I liked the title, it seemed intriguing. We don't have all the answers in life, we can't...so this has captivated my interest. It is for anyone and no you don't have to be a bible thumping, preaching believer. Just have a belief, in some way, in something in your life!

To make you think...just a bit:
"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow." -James Dean
"We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give." -Sir Winston Churchill

Heroes:

In no particular order...they all hold a unique place in my heart, always and forever!
My daughter, she is absolutely awesome and she is my friend...When I grow up I want to be just like her!
My father, for always believing in me and encouraging me throughout my life. He didn't always agree with me but he was always there for me, unconditionally! Always in my heart and now my guardian angel.
I miss you daddy, 06.29.06. I.L.U.W.A.M.H. & S! Y.D.D.
