Music is my life. It's the only thing that I have IN my life that no one can alter, control, or take away from me. It's what drives me, what encourages me, and what makes me tick. Without music, I am nothing. No, that's not cliche, it's reality. It seems that my entire life revolves around music. Whether I'm listening to it, producing it, or performing it, it's what I do.
When I'm down, I use music to bring me back up. When I'm angry, I use music to channel my anger. When I'm happy, I use music to keep me happy. It's what I'm about.
Sure, I perform in a metal band, but my music knowledge and library is as extensive as it gets. From classic to country, from R&B to dance. I have a sound appreciation for anyone who creates and performs music, in all genres. Of course, there are types that I don't care for, but ultimately, music is all the same. It's a form of expression, and that's exactly the tool that I use it for. A channel. A release. A form of expression. An escape. An identity. A purpose. A life. Music.....

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
- ROBERT FROST
I never saw a wild thing sorry for itself.
A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough
without ever having felt sorry for itself.
- D.H. LAWRENCE
Finish every day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no doubt have crept in;
Forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day;
Begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit
to be cumbered with your old nonsense.
This day is all that is good and fair.
It is too dear, with its hopes and invitations,
to waste a moment on yesterdays.
- RALPH WALDO EMERSON
If you hear a voice within you say "you cannot paint",
then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.
- VINCENT VAN GOGH
Do not go where the path may lead,
Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
- RALPH WALDO EMERSON
Pay no attention to what the critics say;
No statue has ever been erected to a critic.
- JEAN SIBILIUS
Here is a test to find out whether your mission in life is complete.
If you're alive, it isn't.
