I first started playing music seriously in fourth grade. I had fiddled around with guitar and piano at a younger age but was not interested in it at all. I started to take piano lessons again and performed in the school band to gain more experience and understanding of the piano. Three years later I picked up guitar again. I purchased a Jackson Randy Rhoads and still play it to this day. After that, I continued playing piano in the school band and the Jazz band to gain even more experience. Since then, I have taken serious guitar lessons and picked up the bass. During the several years in the school band, I was president twice and also received the prestigious John Philip Sousa Award during each year of presidency. I have performed in my school battle of the bands and talent shows performing various songs including “Living on a Prayerâ€, “Boys of Summer†and the Randy Rhoads piece, “Dee.†I learn as much about the instrument as I can whether it is learning how to do repairs or new songs and scales. I love learning new songs that will push my skills to the next level to gain a better understanding and knowledge of guitar. Music is my passion and I want to pursue it for life. Everybody that knows me is able to testify to that. My passion is so strong that I could be anywhere and hear a new lead in my head to use for a song and go home that day and write parts of a song and then go back and finish them up. Currently, I play bass in the band Spektra and have acquired an endorsement deal with Minarik guitars from Glendale. I also endorse the Brazen Dynasty guitar and the Mono M80 guitar case as well as the Wedgie guitar pick holder and Full On Clothing and the Rock Jimmy. I am also endorsed by SPG Guitars, Tregan Guitars, Stagg Guitars, In Tune Guitar picks, Attitude Ink, American Drag Seats, Level 27 Clothing, Ad Astra Clothing and Hellrazor Couture. I also exclusively use Sfarzo Strings. I am always looking for other endorsements from companies that I use and enjoy. I enjoy writing music whenever I have an idea or inspiration and record it as soon as possible. I am looking forward to a possible career as a musician to continue with my passion.

"Listening to Justin Emord's work my first impression was one of a deep emotional impact... there's something nostalgic in his work, in the sensitive handling of textures, that somehow tells me that he's not afraid of being himself when he expresses his music.
But beyond the nostalgia, a more contemporary vocabulary is also employed, and quite tastefully I might add. It's authentic, unpretentious music that I would recommend not only to Rock fans, but to anyone that appreciates art in general. In a music scene overpopulated by clones and imitators, Justin's authenticity emerges as a refreshing event.
When a young George Gershwing went to the great composer and orchestrator, Maurice Ravel and asked the master to teach him how to orchestrate just like him, Ravel replied: "Why do you want to be a second class Ravel, when you can be a first class Gershwin?"
It seems to me that Justin is well on his way to become a first class Emord."-Antonio Esteban.
"There's a sense of fun that I get from Justin Emord's guitar playing. His style seems to have it's roots in the 1980's Metal Pop but there's some hints at modern styles as well. I wouldn't be surprised if Justin becomes one of the iconic guitar players of the next decade - especially if there's any Glam or Pop/Metal renewal. He's got the looks, the axe, and a style that draws people in - and want to join in with the fun."
-- Cole Coleman, Minarik artist, guitarist.
"Justin Emord is known in the music community as an "up and comer" and we at Maximum Threshold believe this also. Justin brings a soothing sound to his guitar playing and has much potential for really developing into a guitarist that will influence a younger generation. Keep your eye on him and agree with us.Songs: "Epic" has been one of our favorite and most requested song on our show and we do not hesitate to play this song. We have also used portions of this song in commercials on our show. "Better Days" has been a newer song that we find ourselves listening to when we are not even on the air. This song has a well developed progression and some catchy riffs that leave you wondering where he is going with it and that is a good thing. His music is unpredictable and keeps you on your toes.
The only setback to Justin's music is the recording. When he gets into a top studio expect his own magic to flourish and watch out!"

"80's metal is on it's way back with a vengeance, thanks to teenage visionary Justin Emord. To anyone who thought grunge killed glam, think again. Straight from LA, Justin brings the triple threat - hot licks, high hair, and heart. Thank goodness somebody realizes that the epic music we banged our heads to during our awkward years WAS actually the best musical decade ever. I'm confident that if given a chance, Justin will be the next Joey Allen, Steve Clark or Saul Hudson. LONG LIVE GLAM!"Daniel Kushner
