The KSB is one of the most unique, groovin' Americana Jam bands this side of - well, Americana, showcasing soulful energetic folk/rock tunes, bluesy guitar riffs, all spiced with Celtic instruments. Imagine an Irish pub in the middle of Woodstock. Well, there you have it!
The KSB coined the phrase FOLK-A-DELIC
to describe their music.

When the KSB was formed, the effect on the Chicago scene was intoxicatingly energetic, to say the least. Katie joined forces with Grammy- winning producer Michael Freeman to create a sound for this jam band who could not choose between Irish pub music, and psychedelic grooves. The band and the concept grew.
With Katie at the helm, band originators Kent Kaled, and Michael Brown joined top musicians LJ Slavin, David Gans, Steve Haberichter, Ruby Harris, Garrett Degnan, Jack Pieroth, Anthony Massaro, and Mike Ellis to create a musical experience colorful, rootsy, and full of drive.
