Thanks for finding us and joining us on MySpace.
FitzGerald's Nightclub has been offering an eclectic mix of live music six nights a week for over 28 years. We're best known as a roots rock club with a special love of Texas and Louisiana, but we regularly book jazz, blues, folk, country, rockabilly and more. Within the last few years we opened up a smaller room next door that we use for private parties -- we've had some killer weddings -- and also for more intimate acoustic shows.
And other people say nice things, too. Jim De Rogatis recently referred to us as "the coolest roots club in the Midwest," Chicago Magazine calls us "a musical gem," and the club has consistently found itself in the top 5 in Chicago polls of favorite venues. Many musical greats have played FitzGerald's including Stevie Ray Vaughn (50 paid--take heart, musicians!), Clifton Chenier, Koko Taylor, Bo Diddley, Alejandro Escovedo, Mavis Staples, Pinetop Perkins, Neville Brothers, John Hiatt, Los Lobos and many more.

There have also been a number of movies filmed here at FitzGerald's: "Adventures in Babysitting," starring Elizabeth Shue; "A League of Their Own," starring Madonna, Rosie O'Donnell and Tom Hanks; "Blink" starring Madeline Stowe and Aiden Quinn; "The Color of Money" starring Tom Cruise and Paul Newman all sport a scene shot in the nightclub. Most recently Universal Pictures shot here for "The Express" starring Dennis Quaid which was released this month. See if you can spot us!
We love to hear from you and will try to answer your questions, but there are only so many electronic mailboxes a person can monitor without going mad, and cell phones and direct website emails usually win out.
If you're looking for booking information, please call Bill at (708) 788-2118, x. 23 or visit www.FitzGeraldsNightclub.com. Sorry, but Bill's technophobia dictates that WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO ANY BOOKING INQUIRIES VIA MYSPACE. We don't like to use capital letters around the children, but sometimes they're all that works.
