YE GODS! are based in Bristol, UK and we love ROCK, TOGAS, MULLETS and BEER. A lot; maybe too much, if there is such a thing. If there were an Institution For Those Hopelessly Addicted To Rock, then we would be in it, quietly drooling in a corner. Sadly there isn't. At present we roam the streets upsetting people.
Following in the footsteps of Spinal Tap, Bad News & The Darkness, YE GODS! combine music with an original humour injection. Our music is not easily described by mere words but as we lack the ability to draw youll have to forgive this meagre profile: Music forged in gargantuan pits of fire and brimstone, deep in the belly of the earth; it will tantalize anyone who likes to laugh until they feel sick, provided they are not scared by loud noises.
Heres what others say about us:
"This was my first exposure to the mulleted, toga wearing rock band and, unlike other virginities I have lost, this one was far from disappointing." (Jase of Spades - The Hatchet 06)
"...check out these crazy muthas!!! They're that funny they make Spinal Tap sound like James Blunt!!!" (Colonel Egghead - The Hatchet 06)
"That was a VERY special kind of bollocks." (Ed Zepplyn - Engineer at the Louisiana / Moles 06)
"When you ride, our sword rides with you! Bringing it back? It never went away!" (Viking Skull 06)
"These guys do not deserve to be called a band. They are much, much more than a band; they are A Reason." (Rob 'n' Rowles Clevedon Mercury review of Portishead Football Club gig 05)
"...musicianship allied with theatricality Inspired!" (Rich Hawkwind review - Fleece & Firkin supporting John Otway 05)
"I stand in awe of your brilliance and rock and roll fire. The gods are pleased, and Spinal Tap hereby passes you the torch. KEEP ROCKING LADS." (David St Hubbins 06)
