About Me

"...there are some things I know for certain: always throw spilt salt over your left shoulder, keep rosemary by your garden gate, plant lavender for luck, and fall in love whenever you can." Practical Magic
A wonderful book I read several years ago (A Woman's Way of Knowing) suggests that women define themselves by their relationships. Unconsciously our very existence is threatened when we consider ending a relationship or a relationship changes. Consciously and proudly, I define myself first as a woman and mother. Many events come and go in our lives but there is nothing that changes who you are as the birth of your child. I am so very proud of my grown children.
"To accomplish great things we must not only act but dream, not only plan but also believe" Anatole France

I am a student of metaphysics and also a Metaphysical Teacher. I have another great relationship that helps me define myself and that is with Father/Mother God. In my heart and soul I know there is a feminine face to the divine and I can no longer bare to deny her. I am in partnership with a couple of other women of a Metaphysical Library, Holisitic Therapies & Event Center (www.celestinecenter.com) The Center has been growing and changing, and there are so many wonderful people involved with it now.
I am also an artist and create customized mandalas and personalized pendulums.I create wall scuptures with plaster and dry wall testure.I am a student of Toltec ways, and a Reiki Master. I love sacred drumming and meditating. I have some psychic abilities. My granddaughters tease me about taking stuff out of their heads and putting it in mine!
I love discussing metaphysics, spirituality and even politics with anyone who wants to as long as there is an agreement to discuss to learn from each other not to bend anyone to one's belief.Music is a great love of mine but it depends on the mood as to what my favorite music is.I love mountains, autumn, thunder and lightening, good books, red wine and Sunday afternoon naps. I love to dance, with or without a partner, swim, with or without clothing and giggle, with or without a reason!
"What the world needs today is a new form of spirituality, one that will allow us to express our impulse toward the Divine in a way that does not make others wrong for the way in which they are doing it." -- Neale Donald Walsch

My Interests

"..."I learned to make my mind large, as the universe is large, so that there is room for contradictions." Maxine Hong Kingston

"...I prefer to be a dreamer among the humblest with visions to be realized than to be lord among those without dreams & desires"Kahlil Gibran "...“Perhaps the most central characteristic of authentic leadership is the relinquishing of the impulse to dominate others.”

Life and joy. Music and dance. Laughing and crying. Waking and Dreaming and then dreaming and waking. Growing old with those that I love, witnessing my children and their children in their beautiful journeys. Reading and learning, writing and teaching, but mostly Life and Joy....oh yeah...and skinny dipping and sipping margaritas by the pool.

I'd like to meet:

Drop Dead Fred, Dust Bunnies, Sophia, Mary Magdalene, Lilith, Eve. People interested in Metaphysics, Spirituality, exploring the feminine aspect of the Divine, Sophia, Wisdom and Ancient Religions. Toltec Apprentices, Alchemists, etc

"Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the Gods."

"I would rather live in a world where my life is surrounded by mystery than live in a world so small that my mind could comprehend it." -Harry Emerson Fosdick

Don't ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. -- Howard Thurman

In today's hectic world too many of us forget the important things in life. We often live our lives for the things we will have tomorrow and we forget about living today. We forget to nuture our spirits and those of our loved ones and neighbors. We forget to breathe in life, to relish the precious moments. Much, much too often we forget to smile and tell those closest to us..."I Love You!"Every day we must love, cherish and protect our children. Not just the children that call us Mom or Dad but all the children of our world. We must provide them a world of peace. They should be safe. They should never know hunger. Most of all they should know they are loved and they are special.Imagine a world with no hunger, a world with no war. A peaceful world where each child sleeps snug and warm and wakes each morning with zest and enthusiasm for the new day. A world where parents rest at night knowing their children are safe and they will be able to provide for their needs in their growth and well-being.Our thoughts and beliefs help us create our reality. When we fight war we make more war, when we imagine peace and act peacefully that will be our reality. God wants the very best for us.Let's help by being the best we can be. Every time we make a statement or think a thought that is positive and beautiful we make this world a better place.

I've said it before and I will say it many more times but I am sure there will come a time when our great-great grandchildren will be reading in their history books how primitive man once believed that the world was flat and that conflicts could be resolved with violence. Those wonderful children will shake their heads at such archaic and ignorant philosophies.I also think they will be reading how the women, sisters, mothers and grandmothers gathered together and changed the world one heart at a time.

"If war is the violent resolution of conflict, then peace is not the absence of conflict, but rather the ability to resolve conflict without violence." C.T.Butler

"We're here to end it, I said & she said, No, we're here to begin it & then she turned & opened her arms & everywhere I could see, there were people, like bright birds, calling with a thousand voices & suddenly I understood. Here is where it begins. With all of us, together giving our daughters a world worth loving for a lifetime to come." Brian Andreas www.storypeople.com
