DRUGS AND ALCOHOLWhat Society Says;-Approximately 80% of adult smokers started smoking before the age of 18. Every day, nearly 3,000 young people under the age of 18 become regular smokers. More than 5 million children living today will die prematurely because of a decision they will make as adolescents---the decision to smoke cigarettes. (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention)-More than 40% of teens who admitted drinking said they drink when they are upset; 31% said they drink alone; 25% said they drink when they are bored; and 25% said they drink to "get high." (U.S. Surgeon General, 1991)Nationally, nearly 40% of admissions to mental hospitals and 50% of arrests are alcohol-related. The minimum drinking age is 21 years. However, it is estimated that nearly 65% of all alcohol outlets sell alcohol to minors.According to the Department of Health and Human Services (2004), 14.4% of U.S. adults nationwide have used cocaine at least once in their lifetime.Marijuana addiction is a phenomenon experienced by more than 150,000 individuals each year who enter treatment for their proclaimed addiction to marijuana. Now we don't promote drinking and drug use...It's Your choice and it's Your Life..Make the smart decisions. RAPE...Facts...- 1 out of every three girls will be sexually assaulted by the time they are 18.- 1 out of 7 children are abused.-Teens 16 to 19 were three and one-half times more likely than the general population to be victims of rape, attempted rape or sexual assault. (National Crime Victimization Survey. Bureau of Justice Statistics, U.S. Department of Justice, 1996.)TBHope says-Rape is sadly something that happens, unfortunately more and more. But don't let your self esteem slide, you are Gods creation. and if you think that your not a virgin anymore and no one will look at you the same. We just like everyone else will tell you, you are a virgin. You never gave it up on your own.Seek help. Put those creeps behind bars. And remember that you are a special creation, irreplaceable, and Loved. You deserve to be happy. Myspace Scroll Box Creator

SELF INJURY...Self injury may be inflicted upon the self in many ways, such as cutting oneself, banging limbs, burning / branding oneself, overdosing on medication, and other methods. This is not a conscious attempt at suicide, though some people may see it that way.You may be wondering why someone would intentionally harm themselves. Self-injury can help someone relieve intense feelings such as anger, sadness, loneliness, shame, guilt and emotional pain. Many people who cut themselves, do this in an attempt to try and release all the emotions they are feeling internally. Others may feel so numb, that seeing their own blood when they cut themselves, helps them to feel alive because they usually feel so dead inside. Some people find that dealing with physical pain is easier than dealing with emotional pain.If they were abused, they may feel ashamed, guilty and blame themselves for the abuse, which in turn causes them to feel the need to punish themselves by inflicting pain to their bodies.**Number of people hospitalized due to self-inflicted injury: 154,598 Source: Centers for Disease Control, 2005**Around 39% of teenage Americans Self Injure. If you self injure... Seek help talk to someone a friend, family, teacher, co worker... anyone... Try to stop... It doesn't help trust me, once you get sucked in it is hard to get out... It DOESN'T help.. It makes life worse... So stop self injuring and talk to someone...! Myspace Scroll Box Creator

(Health magazine, Jan/Feb 2002). Seek Help.. talk to someone.. You are beautiful and are Loved. For your own life please stop, you are irreplaceable. You are God's Creation made in His image.. Myspace Scroll Box Creator
DEPRESSION~* Depressive disorders affect approximately 18.8 million American adults or about 9.5% of the U.S. population age 18 and older in a given year. This includes major depressive disorder, dysthymic disorder, and bipolar disorder. [1]* Everyone, will at some time in their life be affected by depression -- their own or someone else's, according to Australian Government statistics.
