Worship is the one and only reason the band MyCalvary exists. Intense love and admiration for Jesus Christ is what brought the ministry together and those two life-altering words are what continue to drive the band.
The band takes its name from Luke 9:23. In that passage Jesus is speaking to his disciples, "And he was saying to them, If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me."
As followers of Christ, we are daily called to die to the world and to live for our Savior. For MyCalvary, that means putting everything aside and, with complete dedication, living for Jesus. This in itself is our act of worship. To die to ourselves daily as Christ did on the cross and create our own present-day Calvary where nothing else matters except for Christ and His glory.
The band considers their success thus far absolutely nothing except Christ revealing himself through each person and showing what he can do with a life that is completely consecrated to Him. Feeling confident that there is much more to come, they cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for the ministry of MyCalvary and for each member’s life.
