BIOGRAPHY
With nearly 10 million records sold, 51 Dove Awards, 5 Grammy's, 16 studio projects, and 41 career number 1 radio singles, Steven Curtis Chapman has made an overwhelming impact on Christian music. Chapman's insights and ideas are wiser and more wide-eyed than ever before on This Moment, his first new project in more than three years. Wisdom culled from two decades of ante-upping artistry anchors the set in a delightfully confident pop musicality. Meanwhile, the new wonders he's finding at home now on the other side of the world add passion and a worshipful air to his thoughtful lyrics.
SHAOHANNAH'S HOPE
One of our countrys leading advocates for adoption, Chapman and his family have passionately committed themselves to helping orphans worldwide, especially in China where over 36 million children are waiting and hoping for a new life in a loving home, and in America where nearly one million await homes. To help, the Chapman family has established Shaohannahs Hope, an organization to provide information and financial grants to families who desire to adopt.Recognizing that adoption is a perfect picture of what God has done for each of us in making us His children through Christ, Shaohannah's Hope has been established to care for orphans by engaging the church and helping Christian families reduce the financial barriers to adoption. Psalm 68:5-6 tells us that as the Father to the fatherless, God delights in setting the lonely in families. It has been our experience that the scriptural mandate of caring for orphans, such as the one found in James 1:27, is really a wonderful invitation to experience God in a profound way by being a part of His sovereign plan for His precious children.Working from these foundational truths, Shaohannah's Hope exists to enable children living without the love and hope of an earthly family to be adopted into "covenant homes." These families can provide not only the love and support needed for this life, but also provide a child with the knowledge of God's plan for his or her eternal life with a forever family called The Body of Christ. So far, the organization has been able to provide 1300 grants and place 1300 orphans in families.

Filled with delightfully whimsical illustrations from Mary Beths brother, Jim Chapman, the Shaoey and Dot picture book series truly is a family affair. The first installment, titled Shaoey & Dot: Bug Meets Bundle, featured Shaohannah and retold the adventure of her adoption from China. The second installment, The Christmas Miracle, is a wonderful reminder of the miraculous love that makes every Christmas a special one while sharing with its readers the many joys of adoption. "A Thunder and Lightning Bug Story," the most recent release in the series, is sure to comfort any little one who is hesitant to turn off the lights.
