About Me

The folk roots run deep through Divided Opinions yet their sound has developed far wider ranging textures. Having survived the near fatal tag of 'next big thing,' this North London/Herts band continue to blend a diverse range of influences and styles. With subtle, rounded melodies, edgy guitars and heart-ache violin, Divided Opinions expose their raw musical arguments between folk and rock. The debate continues...
"Arrangements that drive when they need to, always uplifting, never throwaway. Very warm, slightly complex in an uncluttered way, intriguingly different."
Organ
"Mellow songs for mellow people, happy songs for happy people, worthwhile songs for worthwhile people."
Folk on Tap
"Theirs is a vibrantly commercial sound that offers a nod to the most successful roots and acoustic pop acts of the last decade, yet still maintains a real authority through solid and impressive songwriting."
Rock ‘n’ Reel
"A fluid fusion of folk pop. Not as contrary as their name suggests."
