STOP PRESS!
Dear allPlease forgive our late response to the latest planning notices that have gone up in relation to the JCoSS Road. Your objection must be received by 20th October if it is to be considered.
Unhelpfully, the council have put up a map of the entire JCoSS site. What they are consulting about however, is their proposal to grant JCoSS a long lease for the land immediately either side of Pymmes Brook so they can build their bridge.
You may wish to tell them that;
• In leasing the land, they will enable the severance of the pedestrian access to Hadley Woods
• This will allow JCoSS to bulldoze mature trees, hedgerow and grassland within 20 metres of the green belt and replace it with a large concrete bridge and access road.
• This will sever the open space lying between Baring Road and Castlewood Road from its direct link to Hadley Wood
• This will also encourage unsustainable levels of traffic into the area.
• A public footpath, The Pymmes Brook Trail, crosses the site and will be directly affected by the bridge and road.
NB – All objections need to be received by 20th October quoting Reference: VAL/GRC/3201 pt2
Please send your objections to:
