AcroYoga

AcroYoga; Acrobatics, Yoga and Thai Massage

About Me

AcroYoga is a dynamic healing practice that encourages exploration of trust, connection and playfulness. It was conceived in December 2003, when yoga teachers Jason Nemer and Jenny Sauer-Klein met and collaborated for the first time. This emerging art took shape at San Francisco´s Circus Center in a Partner Doubles class, blending Jason's expertise in partner acrobatics with Jenny's experience with partner/contact yoga. A Thai Massage Therapist, yoga practitioner, and dedicated student from AcroYoga's inception, Carolyn Cohen joined the core teaching team in July 2004, expanding the AcroYoga repertoire more deeply into Thai Massage and Deep Partner Stretching.Based in San Francisco, the core trio of AcroYoga teachers offers ongoing classes in the Bay Area, and travel internationally sharing the work. Our practice and teaching continues to grow, and we are in deep gratitude to the network of assistants, students and studios that continue to support this work. Thanks to the many gifted teachers and collaborators who have been our inspiration: Nateshvar Ken Scott, Dharma Mittra, Kevin and Erin Maile O'Keefe, Francisco Morales-Bermudez & The Breema Center. Through practicing AcroYoga, we experience a deepening trust in ourselves and others, and realize that by working in partnership, we manifest more than we ever could alone.
