THE JABS was formed in 1992. They play their own style of old school hardcore with influences from Insted,strife,judge,youth of today and more to mention. The band also incorporated some contemporary metallic hardcore into their music as well. After making their appearances on 2 local compilation which received overwhelming response, this release is inevitable.
The Jabs started originally with 4 members.Jamming and creating their on pieces of music was an everyday routine.They sat as one pouring ideas after ideas,which brought them to 2 local compilations,being Wide Expanse Of Sound and Rage Generation compilation.With the latter having DINO and RAIS on 2nd vocalist and guitarist respectively.This line up proved the turning point in the bands' history with 2 vocals and 2 guitarists.Sadly,short after the compilations' release,DINO departed the band,making way for FADLY to grip the mic on 2nd vocals.Thus,The Jabs CDEP was release.Soon after the sweet success, Rais decided that he has other commitments to concerntrate on.But,this kept them going on and on quietly.It really tested the bands' uniqueness,but they continue to produce quality hard-hitting music that they're known for.Short stints of FAIRUZ covering on 2nd guitars provided some inspirational moments for the band..But soon after,both FADLY and FAIRUZ decided not to carry on.As this sustained the original members in Boboi,Asoh,Bobi and Rizal..As time drags on,the band wanted more power sucked in their music..And yes!!Born of the latest recruit in ANIS ex member from INNERSIGHT on 2nd vox..As their music is still and will carry on stronger than ever....Our debut 6 songs cdep churns out song after song of heavy hitting hardcore. 'Time of Negligence', the title focuse a lot on anti-drug messages although we're not SXE.But we respect for those who keep the cross in their heart and not just on their hand.THE JABS is not only a band but we move as a childhood friend.We been struggling for almost 17 years of friendship.Due for strong commitment, We're still here for stronger soul and stronger mind to set a GOALS.As for the next release.
