About Me

After years of nightclub DJing in NYC and college radio, I got my big break on-air for New York’s infamous WLIR, “the station that dared to be different.” I then worked my way across the country for rock and alternative stations in New Jersey, California and helped to launch The Edge in Fresno and then The Edge in Phoenix before it became a brand name. I ventured into artist management while in Santa Barbara. I worked with Paul Townsend (brother to Pete of The Who) and discovered Ugly Kid Joe and eventually got them signed to Mercury Records. I later hooked up with the Phunk Junkeez in Phoenix and got them signed to Trauma/Interscope. In England I found ex-members of Flesh For Lulu and managed their new band Gigantic, who were signed to Columbia. I also worked with Chronic Future in Scottsdale, Arizona who got signed to Tommy Boy. I became an associate manager at Q Management in L.A. with Jeff Kwatinetz and Pete Katsis (now of The Firm) where I worked with Korn, General Public, Material Issue, Tuck & Patti and a bunch of other cool bands. I left to start my own company in Austin where I also got into the nightclub business and eventually helped to create and manage Two River Canyon Amphitheatre. We produced Willie Nelson's 4th Of July Family Picnic with The Dead, Neil Young, Toby Keith, Merle Haggard, Leon Russell, Los Lonely Boys and about 20 more bands. (see my picture section). Not much into the country thing but Willie is God. I really missed the east and my first love and went back into radio. I am now Operations Manager and Program Director for independent alternative station WEQX. "Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!"
