County Route Records is an independent Country Music label founded officially in ‘08. We are a small family-run label. No we are not in Nashville; we are in Albany, NY. This may be confusing to some artists wondering how we as a label could help them if we are not in Nashville; well anyone serious about this business knows that everyone and their brother are in Nashville. Everyone is fighting for the same piece of the pie.
Our theory…let Nashville come to us.
We know that sounds odd and many tell us that it's impossible and that's not how it works. Yet we believe that with passion and the right business sense we will be able to succeed no matter what state or city we operate out of…just watch us!
God has a calling for everyone, ours is music. We put our faith in Christ
Our goal is to promote our artist’s music other places so that everyone wants our music. We are very passionate about music. We simply love it. Our founder/president would marry music if it was allowed. He gets lost in music and lets the lyrics penetrate his mind. He also loves to write songs. Our vice-president has a beautiful singing voice and loves to listen to other talent and is amazed at people’s vocal abilities and talent. We believe that our absolute passion for music is something more to offer than some flashy smooth talking label that will give you the world until the first week your sales drop.
At this point we can’t offer you advances, cars, and houses; yet we do offer something much more valuable then that. We offer a pure love of music and a want for any artist that we join forces with to do great. We wouldn’t spend time with you if we didn’t want the best in life for you. We do believe we will promote our artists to the point where they will be more then just known in the music business, but known by the listeners. We also will get your music out as quick as possible and at least get it on Itunes and Rhapsody so that your music is out there for people to buy if they want, and hey we liked you so why wouldn’t everyone else want your music? You are giving us your time and more importantly you’re giving us your trust, and that is something we take very seriously here at County Route Records. A good name is better than silver and gold and we want County Route Records to be a name everyone trusts, musicians know we are dedicated and listeners know we always put out great music.
We also want our artist to continue to do things the way they are use to. There is a reason we fell in love with our artists and we don’t want to ever get to the point where we forget that. Sure we will want a certain something from the first album but we want our artist to be involved in the decisions, if they would like to be. We here at County Route Records will not delay a second album because we are trying to milk every song off the first. We will continue to release singles off the first but we know as music lovers ourselves, fans want new music because they already have the album and there is no reason you can’t have 2 singles out simultaneously.
One last thing we would like to say. We want quality music and want our music to be more than just a one-hit wonder. We will not put out or endorse any music with explicit lyrics.
