Working at London’s most prolific record shop BM Soho (Blackmarket Records), holding down two London residencies and presenting her own weekly radio show are just some of the reasons why this lady is excelling in her field.
Georgia is a 26-year-old London based DJ/producer and is a rising star on the London House scene. She plays a blend of Deep, Soulful, Tech, Minimal and Funk-fuelled House and has done professionally, since 1999.
"As a person I have a strong love of various music genres, particularly House music and I use Georgia Girl (the artist) as a way of communicating that passion to those who are listening. As an artist, I guess you could say I have lots to say and have been lucky enough to find a way to say and express it."
Taking her influences from a range of established luminaries such as Stevie Wonder, DJ Deep, Kerri Chandler, Fred Everything, Quentin Harris, DJ Heather, JoVonn, DJ Spinna, Masters at Work, Daft Punk, Dennis Ferrer,Tony Humphries and Todd Terry, Georgia’s varied style rejects pigeon-holing and constantly evolves to suit the moment.

Since arriving onto the London House scene, Georgia Girl has most notably established her distinct sound through her weekly Sunday radio show 'The Sunday Sanctuary' on Unknown 90.2 FM, one of Londons leading underground House music stations & her affiliation to the BlowinEast collective; with whom she established a residency at MUAK (where guests included Franck Roger, Audiowhores, DJ Deep and Marques Wyatt.) seeing her through 2004/05.
2005 saw Georgia tour China with her vocalist sister Alex Mills, where they both took their distinctively underground sound to the Chinese Masses. This was followed later that year by a tour of Thailand where she head-lined at some of the countries most talked about venues, including Astra (Bangkok) and Mint Bar (Koh Samui).
She also held a year-long, monthly residency in Rome (Italy) for the infamous nightclub Hulala where she hosted the monthly night 'Vive Les Filles' Aside from this, Georgia continues to make regular appearances in France, Italy & Asia, as well as back home in London.
Currently Georgia holds a residency at AKA for "Players" & Sosho, alongside her BlowinEast co-host Manish, consistently playing to loyal and friendly party crowds.
2006/07 has seen Georgia play alongside diverse & well-respected Dj/Producers from the likes of Derrick Carter, Robert Owens, Ziggy Kinder & Frankie Feliciano for London based promotions such as Back2Basics, Blowineast, Retox, The Players, Azuli, MN2S & Need2Soul.
As one of the resident djs for the ever-growing "Ladies First" tours, 2006 also saw this lady visit cities such as New York, Bangkok & San Francisco.
During 2006, she was also asked to do the House Mix for Dj Target on BBC’s 1xtra, where she demonstrated a vast knowledge of underground House music both old and new, as well as a sound knowledge of radio presentation.
Georgia is the first lady of BlowinEast, a collective of like-minded souls consisting of Dj's, Producers, Designers & Singer/Songwriters with whom she frequently hosts nights around the capital ranging from intimate venues such as Cherry Jam & AKA to clubs such as The End & Neighbourhood.
"I have played at some amazing venues with phenomenal sound-systems, usually with a crowd to match.' Some of these include; The Cross (London), The Key (London), Ministry Of Sound (London), Alexandra Palace (London), Turnmills (London), APT (New York), The End (London) Pacha (London), End Up (San Francisco) The Egg (London), Space (Ibiza), Bora Bora (Ibiza), La Terazza (Rome), VIP Room (St. Tropez) La Discoteca (Cannes) Hulala Club (Rome), Betise Loft (San Remo), Angel Club (Beijing), Astra (Bangkok) and Mint Bar (Koh Samui)."
Recently, Georgia has been spending more time in the studio concentrating on her forthcoming release, coming very soon.
With her own production work in the pipeline, and various guest & international appearances, DJ Georgia Girl is surely a name to watch for the future...
