I started playing at the age of 13, when my parents bought me an acoustic guitar and found me a teacher. The teacher gave me two lessons : he taught me the C major chord progression and the D major chord progression. Then he disappeared. So, I was left alone with my acoustic guitar and for the following three years I did nothing but playing those progressions for hours and hours each day. I assume you can easily imagine the speed and accuracy I reached in playing that stuff continuously for three years… One night, in the early 90’s, a couple of aliens, who had been observing me for a long time, came to my aid, probably moved by that ancient feeling we know as “pietas”. Aliens came to my house and took me to a Mexican restaurant called “El Mariachi”, where we ate a lot of tajos and drunk a ridiculous amount of cadillac cabo wabo margaritas; then the aliens started telling me about legato and alternate picking techniques and how useful they were (sorry, maybe I’ve learned those skills from a Paul Gilbert’s or a Richie Kotzen’s instructional video, but, actually, aliens sounded much better for the story…) The following day, aliens, as the teacher before them, desappeared. During the 90’s I did a lot of exercises on the guitar, I recorded an instrumental demo called “Beyond the Looking Glass” and I took the PhD in musicology at Bologna University. For several years I won the competition of “better guitar player of my condo” (It was very easy indeed since almost all of my neighbors were 80 years old and they didn’t play guitar very well). I’ve also played in several italian hard rock bands like Hexe, Borgogna and, most recently, Homerun, doing a lot of gigs and recording many albums and demos. At the end of 2006, aliens came back to my house and took me to a neapolitan restaurant called “O’ Mare Chiaro”, where we ate a lot of cannelloni and pastiera… That night they taught me how to make a fortune in the stock market and real estate investing (or I’ve learned that stuff from a Michael Lee Firkins’ Instructional video …? Sorry I don’t remember very well…) So, the following day, I began trading Italian stocks and looking around to find apartments selling at bargain prices. If you’re interested in this kind of financial topics, please check out my forthcoming new website www.dr.buzzi_milliondollars_division.biz, where I will share all the financial skills aliens gave me that night… So, enjoy my music and post a comment if you like it, if you hate me, if I make you smile or simply if you desperately want to date me (in this case I need to tell you that my orientation is etero and I don’t like muscular drummers at all…)
