About Me

We are a Manchester based collective of musicians and Djs united by a relaxed and open minded approach to making and sharing music. Since September 2004 we have been organising gigs and clubnights under the MindonFire moniker, trying to expose the unseen local talent and provide an alternative to a music industry often riddled with hegemony and unoriginality, as well as working with more established artists from both Manchester and further afield. Summer 2006 saw the launch of of Mind on Fire's first release, a compilation of tracks by 12 Mancunian artists that have been involved in some way with the collective over the past year. The tunes in the player all feature on this release and if you like what you hear you can now go and buy yourself a fresh copy from the following fine establishments:
Boomkat , Piccadilly Records , Vox Pop , Roadkill , and Kingbee .
You can also get in touch with us through myspoon or by email if you want a copy, but with only 1000 pressed and alot going as promo they are sure to run out, so get on it, your purchase will help us be able to put out a second one later in the summer of this year.
