About Me

I was introduced to the drum and bass scene when I was just a ‘wee’ lad. At the age of 15 I encountered my first drum and bass experience in the form of Dj Rap in the 1996 Glastonbury dance tent. After this jaw dropping experience I decided the only thing to do was to start building my own drum and bass collection, starting with the Super Sharp Shooter EP on Ganja Records! With only my mate’s belt drive decks to practice on I spent most of my art college days practicing the art of beat matching on naughty day release!

After a year of practicing, a few de mo tapes and a shiny pair of 1210’s later, I was offered my first gig at a night called ‘The Bedroom’.
I received some blinding feedback and was so inspired I decided to setup my own night; ‘The Script’ in 1998. The night went from strength to strength and venue to venue!

During 1998 I also enrolled in a Music technology course to develop my music production skills. While on the course I became good friends with most of my classmates including the legendary DNCN and developed an extensive knowledge of audio programs and outboard equipment.

Throughout my time at college I was always pushing my style on the Manchester scene playing for such nights as ‘Metropolis’ (alongside Die, Krust, Clipz and Hazard), Gravity (alongside Kenny Ken) ‘Love Decade’ and my own secondary monster night ‘Crash’ (featuring Nicky Blackmarket, Mr thing and Deejay Punk Roc). I also got to know the free party massive who did a good job of leading me astray! I was then ‘forced’ to play at their underground/free parties, including ‘Ambicus’, ‘Daylight Robbery’ and a residency for the ‘ Stumblefunk sound system’!

Nowadays I work alongside my long-time breadbin Dj Sine ( Stumblefunk Soundsystem, Manchester) on material that gets hammered on a regular basis during our ‘legendary’ (hm hmm) live sets. Recent gigs include: ‘Missing in Manchester’ (featuring Vibes and Livelee), ‘Hardlinerz’ ( Porto, Portugal – featuring Mc Fatman D and Nuno Forte), ‘Solid Earth’ (Darfur Charity gig Manchester – featuring Domino Bones and The Electro Sluts).

Look out for our killer track '06 Version' on the Solid Earth Charity CD, coming to a stereo near you.

Keep your ears to the ground and you may just end up with a perforated eardrum…
