About Me

a man who awoke after a long, cold, bleak winter's night of many years, who saw the morning star shining brightly in the still of the clear, blue predawn sky, closed his eyes for one breath-taking moment, then stepped forward into her shimmering embrace.
a man who lives in a state of serenity and gratitude, who appreciates the simple beauty of life and who is forever finding sunshine in the shadows.

sensation
on the blue summer evenings, I shall go down the paths,
getting pricked by the corn, crushing the short grass:
in a dream I shall feel its coolness on my feet.
I shall let the wind bathe my bare head.
I shall not speak, I shall think about nothing:
but endless love will mount in my soul;
and I shall travel far, very far, like a gypsy,
through the countryside - as happy as if I were with a woman.
Arthur Rimbaud
March 1870.

You Are From Neptune
You are dreamy and mystical, with a natural psychic ability.
You love music, poetry, dance, and (most of all) the open sea.
Your soul is filled with possibilities, and your heart overflows with compassion.
You can be in a room full of friendly people and feel all alone.
If you don't get carried away with one idea, your spiritual nature will see you through anything. What Planet Are You From?

There is a mountain in the city of Montreal, and this morning, very soon, I will walk up Avenue du Parc toward its gentle verdant slopes.  And as I ascend I will see smiling happy people, fo...

the philosophy (or my easter-monday morning thoughts)

This is what I am thinking today, I wrote it as a comment on a friend's blog, she's just accomplished something pretty amazing, something very difficult to do, and I am so very happy for her.  "...

the goodbye

Sometimes, a great thing happens.  A shooting-star blazes across the jet-black sky of the darkest night, leaving a shimmering, brightly coloured trail behind, which falls into the heavens as pure...

the definition of 'fucked-up'

I left work early today, it was quiet; the day's snow and rain squalls did their work, so there was little left for me to do.  I briefly considered going to buy some new clothes, but instead opte...
