I am on a voyage, sailing in to the wind, not sure if the world is really round or not, and unclear on my destination. I struggle in so many different areas and divest myself in so many different directions. I am not sure who I really am, and not really sure I want to find out. I don't know if I'm up for the remainder of this voyage, but I'm giving it a shot, with weakened rigging and tattered sails. The only other option is to scuttle the ship. Two years ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a chronic and debilitating disease, and the prognosis was not good. I could barely walk from the front porch to the mailbox. Now, after moving to Oregon and with changes in diet, lifestyle, health care, and attitude, I am working full-time again, walking, hiking, and totally enjoying southern Oregon. Health issues are still a concern, but I am slowly healing - one wave at a time.Layout powered by HOT FreeLayoutsYOU ARE PERFECT: YOUR MISTAKES ARE LESSONS; YOUR DISAPPOINTMENTS TESTS (from "Instant Karma" (c)2003 Barbara Ann Kipper

My Interests

You Are The Star
You represent the ultimate in truth and purity.
Insightful and illuminating, you provide guidance for others.
You also demonstrate unselfish, unconditional love.
You posses many spiritual gifts, including the ability to heal.

Your fortune:

Your future is looking brighter by the day.
The near future will be a time of both hope and healing.
Luck is about to come your way, perhaps the best luck you have ever seen.
Life is about to get a lot easier and much better! What Tarot Card Are You? My family - my husband and our eight children. I had three (Derek, Travis and Kevin) and he had three (Lucas, Misty and Daniel) and we have two together (Christian and Tucker). Yep, that's right - 7 boys, count-em, 7 and one girl. Only the three youngest still live at home with us. I also love anything to do with words: reading and writing. I was born with a book in my hands, and have been writing since I was 5. I currently enjoy writing poetry, but have started several novels which are currently in a filing cabinet in storage. For two years I wrote a bi-weekly food column for my local newspaper, which is, coincidentally, another passion of mine. I love food, but nothing too exotic or extreme. Simple, pleasurable comfort food is what it's all about. There's nothing that says home and love like chicken pot pie or home-made lasagne. Or chocolate. I adore chocolate, really really good chocolate, like Daboga or Endangered Species, or Harry and David's truffles, or Cary's absolutely delectable toffee. I just discovered a farmer's market that sells Callebaut chocolate chips (heaven!). Of course, there's Ghiradelli which is good anywhere but best eaten in San Francisco and for hot chocolate there's nothing better than Scharffen Berger. Did I say I like chocolate? I also enjoy making my own jewelry, particularly beading and wire work; I play the piano, love to listen to music, love to hike when I have the time and the energy, and love to shop.

I'd like to meet:

Shakespeare and Baz Luhrmann. I also want to meet all sorts of creative, artistic folks: poets, writers, artists and other like-minded spirits.

Music:

Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Il Divo, the Red Elvises, Nightwish, just about anything on Narada's label (David Lanz, David Arkenstone), Celtic Woman, Celtic music period, new age instrumentals, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, the Eagles, Guns N Roses, Elton John, Madonna, David Bowie, the "Brothers" Righteous, Everly, Doobie, Yanni (yes, I'm a closet Yanni fan), movie soundtracks (Hook, Shrek, Rush, Knight's Tale, etc)

Movies:

I love movies, but I'd rather go to live theatre (especially musical and Shakespeare) any day of the week and twice on Sundays: Les Miz, Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, Once Upon a Mattress, Little Shop of Horrors, Threepenny Opera, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum; and movies: Lord of the Rings (all), Star Wars (all), The Fugitive, Independence Day, Hook, Phantom of the Opera (the musical), Shall We Dance?, Pride and Prejudice, the Pink Panther movies (with Peter Sellars), Gone with the Wind (of course), Harry Potter (all), Moulin Rouge, Princess Bride, Pleasantville, Man From Snowy River, all the Jack Ryan movies, Bourne Supremacy, Charade (with Audrey Hepburn), My Fair Lady, old Disney musicals like the One & Only, Genuine, Original Family Band and The Happiest Millionaire, Finian's Rainbow.

Television:

You Are Expressionism
Moody, emotional, and even a bit angsty... you certainly know how to express your emotions.
At times, you tend to lack perspective on your life, probably as a result of looking inward too much.
This introspection does give you a flair for the dramatic. And it's even maybe made you cultivate some artistic talents!
You have a true artist's temperament... which is a blessing and a curse. What Art Movement Are You? Unfortunately, because of my illness, I do spend a lot of time resting. Usually the TV's on, but I'm usually reading and/or writing at the same time, as well as chasing my two younger children, fixing dinner, and trying to rest and relax after work. For sheer entertainment, I enjoy watching all the CSIs: Las Vegas, New York, Miami (in that order), Law and Order, CI, SVU, Smallville, StarGate (yes, Steve, I do like StarGate), Star Trek (all), Top Chef, Project Runway, Trading Spaces, While You Were Out, What Not to Wear, Firefly, Dr Who, Monty Python, BBC mysteries, and old musicals.

Books:

Actually, I guess my reading preferences are pretty eclectic, having been raised in a book store. But, my favorite books would be mysteries mysteries and more mysteries - anything by Martha Grimes, Elizabeth George, Minette Walters, Ruth Rendell, PD James, Diana Mott Davidson, Deborah Crombie, Reginald Hill, Colin Dexter, Robert Barnard, Dorothy Simpson. And of course the classics like Agatha Christie, Ngaio Marsh, Josephine Tey, Patricia Wentworth ... way too many to name. I love Winston Graham's novels of Cornwall: the Poldark Saga. Gone with the Wind, of course. The Hobbit, the Lord of the Rings, A Wrinkle in Time (anything by Madeline L'Engle), George RR Martin series A Song of Ice and Fire (A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords - still have to read A Feast of Crows). Jasper Fforde (The Eyre Affair, etc, The Big Over Easy), Edward Rutherford (Princes of Ireland, Rebels of Ireland, Sarum, Russka, London, The Forest), Gregory Maguire (Wicked, Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister). Anything by Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, the Brontes...
What Your Soul Really Looks Like
You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or eve a completely different life.
You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. You feet may be on the ground, but you're head is in the clouds.
You believe that people see you for how you are, not how you look. But deep down, you know that's not exactly true.
Your near future is still unknown, and a little scary. You'll get through wild times - and you'll textually enjoy it.
For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust. Inside the Room of Your Soul

Heroes:

My kids.
Your Life Path Number is 6
Your purpose in life is to help others

You are very compassionate, and you offer comfort to those around you.
It pains you to see other people hurting, and you do all in your power to help them.
You take on responsibility, and don't mind personal sacrifice. You are the ultimate giver.

In love, you offer warmth and protection to your partner.

You often give too much of yourself, and you rarely put your own needs first.
Emotions tend to rule your decisions too much, especially when it comes to love.
And while taking care of people is great, make sure to give them room to grow on their own. What Is Your Life Path Number?
