About Me

An artist is someone who produces things that people don't need to have but that he - for some reason - thinks it would be a good idea to give them.
(Andy Warhol)
Welcome to my page!
It's wonderful to be able to feature my work as a lyricist and songwriter!
At the moment I am fully concentrating on editing the poetry I have been writing over the last two decades. I am also writing new poems and lyrics and am finally starting to record my songs. Therefore, my repertoire (or catalogue) ranges from spoken word to pop music.
In the past I have collaborated with other musicians like the "4urbanartists" - a lounge-jazz-triphop trio with exciting and sometimes weird club gigs. I have now also written some pop-ballads, pop-Sambas and Nu-jazz tunes and with my husband Greg Porée and am beginning to collaborate with other songwriters here in Los Angeles. One of my melodies (In Time for Spring) will be on Greg's new CD which is now almost complete!
Otherwise, my professional work life has always been creative (poetry and music; art history, theatre, costume designing) which is why I am always interested in your work and ideas too!
I was born in London and raised in Constable country, so was lucky to grow up in both crazy and inspiring; creative, musical and playful environments. I then lived in Germany which makes me bilingual with a split personality. Nevertheless, in cold and wet Hamburg I grew to honour values and virtues like commitment, responsibility and reliability: Letters are actually delivered and plumbers show up when they say they will. Quite the opposite to beautiful and sensual France (demain, demain…) where I also spent many months, mainly writing my dissertation and gardening – which makes me bi-et-demi-lingual. Two years ago I moved to the city of lost Angels (or Lalaland) – an environment I have yet to figure out (and which sometimes makes me think that I ought be be learning a fourth language…).
Do take the time to listen to or read my works – I will contiunously be adding more. You can also add my songs to your profile.
