Venice Gas House Trolley

About Me

Venice Gas House Trolley is a four-piece cerebral groove. Based out of Madison, WI, the band initially hearkens back to the times when hipsters and cool-cats would chill out digging ecstatic poets and musicians and then explodes through the present and into the future with vocal effects, dual basses, and twisting rhythms. The group’s sound and content encompasses groovy funk, aggressive jam, high and lonesome country, avant-garde jazz and ambient chill. The group features the words and voice of Adam Gregory Pergament, a finalist for the 2009 MNSWA “Urban Griot” International/National Performer of the Year, Tim Peeters, a Madison Area Music Award winner, Kevin Arthur Knapp, a graduate from The University of Wisconsin's Music Composition Program, and Josh Pultorak on drums.
