About Me

I sing and play for pleasure and if anyone else likes it that’s a bonus. (I have a day job!)I started singing as a teenager and was classically trained by Sylvia Swann. At age 18 I lost my voice when I was hospitalised with a serious throat infection. When it returned several months later it was different and I learned to sing again. No more arias for me! But I like it better this way.I sing a variety of traditional (unaccompanied), folk/country and self-penned songs. Sometimes I sing unaccompanied pop songs just to provide a bit of contrast at folk clubs.I can be heard most Thursdays at Fleetwood Folk Club at the Steamer; 1st Wednesdays at the Beech in Chorlton; 1st Saturdays at the Cumberland in Byker, Newcastle.I’m half of Venereum Arvum; the other half is my husband, Sedayne .I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
