About Me



RKiT is the internet/stage name of Hungarian Jew’s Harp (doromb) enthusiast and player, Tamas Arki. Tamas started to play the jew’s harp in 2005, shortly before the first Hungarian Jew’s Harp Festival.

Throughout the years, he’s developed a playing technique most suitable for contemporary compositions, however, he plays in various traditional ensembles too. In 2007, as a student of a Danish international art school and as the percussionist of the band founded there, he gave several concerts in Denmark and Latvia.

His recent songs in solo are either performed on one instrument or are more complex tunes, utilizing sounds and harmonies from the field of ambient or abstract hip-hop.

Nowadays Tamas is busy playing in various bands and doing session work and has just released his first album 'On Hold' on Chromechoes Production netlabel as a free download.
