Fascinated by rhythm; bass (preferably enormous) & beats; reggae; grooves & swing in general; middle eastern/arabic/balkan and most things with an odd time signature; ambient/chill - music to go out/up/in with; vocal music.
I'm very interested in the esoteric aspect of music, the psychology of the musician, the nature of improvised music. It's all organised vibration, as are we, but where does it originate..?

I recently played frame drum with Ilhan Barutcu (ney master from Turkey) and Adam Reid on the main stage at Knockengorroch Festival in Scotland.
Founder member of and kit player with Weird Attractors in Edinburgh. Full-on beats and electronica, 5-10 strong with 18 members between 1999 and their last gig in 2005, most of them drummers (Tree, anonymi, mungbean, several of Orkestra del Sol, Andy from The Ruffness, Tallest Man on occasional vox with Magic Dave on sound).
