Influences: What? Aside from alientation, loneliness, being a freak, outcast and misfit, angst, rebellion, abuse, drunkenness and middle-class boredom?
mostly punk rock, power pop, garage rock, rock and roll, rock rock and more rock: Blondie, The Ramones, Cheap Trick, Joan Jett, Suzi Quatro, The Heartbreakers, The Sonics, The Avengers, Vice Squad, The Undertones, The Ronettes, Rezillos, The Pretenders, Elvis Costello & The Attractions, The Clash, Devo, X, Generation X, Buzzcocks, Ohio Express, Bowie, Elton John, Johnny Cash, Black Flag, Vandals, Iggy and/or The Stooges, Dead Boys, New York Dolls, Dead Kennedys, The Carpenters, ABBA, Gram Parsons, Descendents, Bee Gees, Dickies, Aerosmith, Mamas & Papas, The Monkees, George Jones, The Replacements, Bad Brains, Sex Pistols, Van Halen, KISS, The Dictators, Hank Williams, T Rex, Patsy Cline, The Go-Gos, 1910 Fruitgum Company, The Rasperries, Badfinger, Dolly Parton, Heart, Pat Benatar, Plasmatics.
Sounds Like: Fucking HELL!
What I've heard, so make up your own fucking mind: " The Go-Gos on crack, the bastard child of Debbie Harry and Joey Ramone, Dickies disciples, if Mike Ness were a girl, angry Blondie, The Ramones with a girl singer." I've also been called the female Joey Ramone, because no one can understand what the fuck I am saying. One manager turned us down because she said I "sounded like Belinda Carlisle - and that is not a good thing!". We've also been compared to The Muffs, The Fastbacks, The Rezillos, The Goops. Three-minute pop songs with sing-along parts by a gal raised on country music of the 60s, AM radio of the 70s, and punk rock of the early 80s.
