Fall, 2008
Drunk John Lennon celebrated their 19 1/2 year anniversary in December, 2007... with their first recordings in... well, um... 19 1/2 years. Since then, the four piece expanded into six, and then eight!
2008 saw the release of two compilations, paying tribute to two of the world's most beloved artists, Elvis Presley and The Sex Pistols. Drunk John Lennon may never tire of mangling the classics, but the band felt the uncontrollable urge to explore new territory and has since recorded over 20 new original songs!
Now after nearly a year back in action, the band is hard at work on several projects, including but not limited to:
The first Drunk John Lennon music video!!!

The 7" reviews::
"This is the greatest record ever made, ever." - Jim Gibson, Noiseville Records
"...there's something about it that I really love. It really winds people up!" - Tim Gane, Stereolab
"A very strange humorously fucked up 45. The two
butchered tracks are twisted versions of "I Wanna Hold
Your Hand" and "Hey Toe." Low-fi one takes with the
vocal overload knob cranked. The singer screams his
way through the songs with small snippets of laughter.
Points for originality. Limited to 300." - Maximum RocknRoll (November, 1990)
"I'm constantly finding the weirdest shit on the internet that I want to share with the world, but most of the time I just figure no one will care and there's no way to present it. Well fuck that!...This is amazing" - Kate, teenagewildlife.com (2/8/2008)
"One of the scuzziest records to come out of the early nineties"
"Truly inspired" - Pop Surgery, blogspot (July, 2007)
"If this is no cult record I don't know what. ...this disk creates it all." - Burkhard Jaerisch, fuzzlogic.com (2003)
"Excellent" - vinyldownunder, Australia (June, 2007)
"very intriguing...and the music was great as well!" - Cities & Thrones (10/29/2007)
"Whenever there is any question as to whether I am cool or not, I always point out that I own the Drunk John Lennon 7"" - Weird Paul Petroskey
"My new favourite band" - Wipey
"This is genius" - Innocent Bystander

We've made that recording available to you, our fans, right here on MySpace. Check out some of the quotes from around the world... Listen... and Enjoy!
"As a fan of songs that degenerate and fall apart into blubbering, incoherent messes ... I instantly fell in love..." - Liz Berg, WFMU's Beware of the Blog

"Good stuff" - Ryan Rapolsive
