About Me

I am Delilah, the burlesque performer (solo and with BurlyQ London) and Notorious N.I.C. (from Titty Titty Bang Bang! DJs)
I am also a Photographer, an Artist, an Expat and a public nuisance.
Delilah’s burlesque career began in Vancouver, Canada. A performer since 2000, Delilah is a tomboyish girl-next-door with a ruby-red pout, a million megawatt smile and a pair of seamed stockings up to her eyelashes. Her saucy, gently comic set pieces range from the classic to the bizarre. Delilah is adept at inventing characters to tie into themed events.
In 2002, she relocated to London to pursue a master’s degree in photography, and has since performed all over the UK and Ireland, as well as in France, Sweden, Canada and the United States. Once a performer with the world’s smallest mobile peep-show, Wyndham’s Wandering Woo-Woo Wagon, Delilah has appeared at festivals including:
London Fashion week shows
Glastonbury
The Big Chill
Latitude
Reading
Leeds
Tease-O-Rama 2005/2007
New York Burlesque Festival 2005/2007
The Great Boston Burlesque Expo2007
Vancouver International Burlesque Festival2006/2007/2008
Delilah has spoken on a panel at the ICA, been interviewed for magazines, telly and radio, featured in photo spreads in Viewpoint and Real magazines and has appeared in countless publications in Canada, the US and the UK. In addition to her busy performing schedule, she also models, and was the 2004 model for State of Undress Lingerie.
She has appeared in music videos, television, (including a BBC3 mockumentary) and films. In addition to these endeavours she is also a member of the successful London-based burlesque troupe: BurlyQ: A Queer cabaret, as well as DJ collective Titty Titty Bang Bang! Delilah is a full time burlesque and performance artiste.
Delilah currently resides in San Francisco.

My pirate name is: Mad Ethel Bonney Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. You can be a bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

Movies:

My favorite directors are Wong Kar-Wai, Mike Leigh, Gregg Araki, Todd Solondz, Lars von Trier and Jim Jarmusch.
