International jazz festival in Pomigliano d'Arco, close to Naples.
Founded in 1996, Pomigliano Jazz Festival takes place every year, in the middle of July, in a wide green park at the feet of Vesuvius volcano.
It includes two stages, 3 or more concerts every date, open rehearsals, artistic performances and exihibitions, seminars and workshops.
Pomigliano Jazz promotes the regional jazz scene and it ideates original projects crossing musicians from all over the world as well as different artistic languages.
It is member of Circuito Jazz Festival Provincia di Napoli, a net of 8 festivals located in Naples Province, and it established the independent label Itinera.
Thanks to its free entrance and its artistic choices, Pomigliano Jazz Festival has got a various and year by year increasing audience: more than 400.000 people till now. Most of them never listened to jazz before.
