A Little Communication was released by Hut records in 1998.It was a difficult album to make and took over two years to complete.The talents featured include Tommy D (producer) Gary Clarke and Boo Hewerdine (songwriters) David Arnold and Craig Armstrong (arrangers) Max Beesley, BJ Cole, Jeff Goldblum (musicians) Nick Franglen of Lemon Jelly programmed the title track.David McAlmont wanted to make a great British soul album and succeeded.The album was hailed as an “ unassuming masterpiece†(Mojo magazine) and “ the Best Vocal Performance of 1998†(Time Out)David co wrote all but one of the 10 songs. The Train is his only self-penned release ever.The cover and press photography was handled by Rankin.This site is dedicated to that album.
